"Winter escape to Gold Coast"

Write a quick review about IHG sanctuary cove in Gold Coast. It’s an older building and a heritage feel. Not super luxurious but rather heritage down to earth feel. Lots of kangaroos around making it uniquely Aussie outback. It’s walkable to the marina where there’s an IGA. But I’m here to rest and relax w zero plans. Having the club lounge access was more than enough that I didn’t have to leave for the entire day and a half stay. The club lounge is very small, unlike other intercoms, but the ladies there were attentive and really hosted me well. Roxy and Zandra were both so friendly and attentive to guests’ eating preferences and was always ready to ask if we wanted more. On the first night, the AC was real loud and noisy, and the team very kindly sent people to have it checked out, and eventually gave me another room.

Beautiful stay from start to finish. Highly recommend the Fireplace restaurant. We had Gretel attend to us both visits and she was outstanding. Dish highlights for us were - Beef Bresaola is a must, Oysters, scallops, & sirloin. Both visits the food was amazing. Cocktails by the fireplace at the Veranda bar & restaurant is also must before dinner. Breakfast is one of the best, so much variety and all beautiful and fresh. We were upgraded to the Queenslander suite on arrival. We have booked again for this weekend, we can’t stay away. Very luxurious but so welcoming and every staff member was friendly and ever so helpful. Thanks.
