Hotel Muyu Tulum

The location was very good, 7min walk from downtown. There are a lot of food options around - amazing vegan place next door and lots of taco carts at night. Breakfast was very good for the price of the room you pay.

Nice and clean hotel, very close to the centre but not too much so it would get noisy from the main street. Very kind and friendly staff, good breakfast with a wonderful view from the rooftop. Great price-quality ratio. Parking in front of the hote.l

The beds are really big and comfortable, the breakfast is also really good.

The bathroom is a little bit small and it would have been nice if there was a closet to pit clothes in.

Staff at the reception is very professional. Check in was supposed to be at 15.00. I arrived from Palenque, after more then 10 hours of travel and the guy at the reception checked if, by any chance, the room could be ready at 13.00. The receptionist welcomed me and let me in at 13.00. I have to thank him because I really needed to get some rest.

I feel bad giving the Muyu Tulum a bad review, the hotel is really nice, and the staff is terrific. The hotel itself is clean, well and designed. But the property itself has the bad luck of being situated at what has to be the noisiest corner in Tulum. Trucks, cars and people are scream by all day and night. And when the traffic finally lets up, it’s the local bars and clubs blasting their music until the early morning hours. If you’re a very hard sleeper, you’ll do well. If not, you won’t sleep for six nights like me.

Location is OK, walking distance to center of town. Room decor is minimal and modern, with good firm bed. Staff at breakfast (on roof terrace) is friendly and efficient. Good breakfast.

However, the hotel is next to a bar and the room(s) do not have good sound proofing so it's extremely noisy. Shower could be stronger. It's OK for my purpose of visiting Tulum for work, but I probably wouldn't stay here if I came for vacation.
