Very cramped, dark, dingy, dated rooms, in desperate need of a renovation. Expectations based on photos of the reception foyer and spa are quickly dashed. Not remotely good value for money - extremely expensive for what you get.

The hotel itself was very nice. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the location was excellent, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area.

Unfortunately, our arrival experience was disappointing and significantly impacted our stay. The receptionist who checked us in was extremely rude and made it very clear that he was unhappy to serve us. He refused to take our payment upon arrival, despite us wanting to settle the bill immediately, and did not carry out even the most basic aspects of customer service. We were not welcomed, given any information about the hotel, shown where our room was located, or even told where to find the elevator. Having worked in the tourism and hotel industry for 22years and traveling to Banff to find hotels to recommend this was not the experience I expected as our Canadian customer services experiences in other hotels have always been great. What concerned me most was the payment process. After eventually paying in cash, I requested a receipt as proof of payment. The receptionist told me he could not provide one, which left me very uncomfortable and unhappy, especially considering I had paid in cash and therefore had no other record of the transaction. It's a shame because the hotel itself has a lot going for it, with large rooms and a great location. However, the poor and unprofessional service at reception left a very negative first impression and detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is great and facilities very comfortable and there is a nice atmosphere there. I recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, we have stayed here before and would come again. Restaurant and bar were good, and underground parking was easy .
