Hana-Maui Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Residence

Rooms are a little run down. There were cockroaches. Paint cracking all over the ceiling. Tried to be understanding given the tropical and wet location but gross. Location is great. Beautiful grounds. Porters were wonderful. Front desk staff could have been nicer.

If you are doing road to Hana and need a halfway stop, this place is breathtaking. We stayed in a bungalow that left us absolutely speechless. Bungalows are spaced out, so they provide golf cart service to parking lot, rooms and restaurant 2 minutes down the road. Staff was amazing and super helpful. Food trucks are right near by offering a few different options. I wish we got to stay longer. Our room was super clean and the resort was very quiet. Unlike any hotel/vacation experience ive had before. Not 5 stars only because it was so expensive, but the experience made it worth it.

One of favorite hotel experiences lately. We stayed one night while doing the road to Hana and I wish it had been two. To really do road to Hana right, I recommend staying in Hana and this is one of the few hotels available. This is near Homoa beach (no beach area at the hotel that I saw) and Black Sands beach (make reservations through State park site!!). The Red Sands Beach trail was literally just steps from our room. There are restaurants on property as well as some food trucks nearby. This place was just so welcoming. We were greeted with juice, leis, and flowers upon arrival. There were goodies and a handwritten note in our room. Just very warm touches. The property is gorgeous and huge. Definitely consider an ocean view. The rooms are a bit dated but that didn’t detract from our stay. Hope to return!

The location is superb. Sitting out on the patio watching sunrise, sitting by cliffs watching the waves and a whale, friendly staff, and I love the houses (versus classic hotel rooms)! The grounds are stunning! And I need a new mattress at home because I have never slept on a more comfortable mattress… ever.

While I enjoyed the activities like the tennis courts, the pools, and the free yoga classes—though unfortunately, the yoga was canceled on the second day without any notification—the rest of the stay was a major letdown. ​The room itself was in poor condition: the heavy wooden shutters were jammed shut, and there was nothing in the kitchen to actually cook a meal. It was thick with dust and cobwebs, and the bathroom was particularly bad, featuring a rusted bathtub and an ancient, barely functional shower. For the price we paid, it was extremely disappointing. ​The icing on the cake was being hit with a parking fee after checkout. No one informed us that parking was paid or what the rate was. Between the lack of maintenance and the hidden costs, I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here

De locatie, zwembad, bed, ontbijt.

Soms wat chagrijnig personeel, ietwat outdated badkamers. Parkeergeld terwijl je al zoveel betaalt.

Situé à la fin de la route de Hana l'établissement est très joli avec la vue sur l'océan. Le personnel est très accueillant. C'est un endroit très très calme.

Le logement est très joli. Par contre, la salle de bain reste vieillotte. Lorsque nous y étions, nous avons essuyé un orage violent. Du coup il s'est mis à pleuvoir sur le lit et comme il n'y avait pas de chambre supplémentaire, on a été obligé de mettre le lit au sol mais il y a eu un geste commercial, ce qui est très agréable. De plus au moment de changer le lit de place, nous nous sommes aperçus que l'aleze était tachée attention !

I have been in Maui few times and done the Road to Hana. This time, we decided to stay at the hotel overnight. It is beautiful! Amazing ocean views, many activities available during the stay, very nice staff, pools, and gym. The resort could use some upgrades on its structure to keep up with the salt/wind of its location. Overall experience was great and I would go back to stay there but not only for one night, I will stay for two nights!

Such a beautiful property and the staff are so friendly! What a great way to get away in Hana and take advantage of the area!
