"Highlight of my trip. I would make a special trip to the Hita area just to stay here again."

The property is in a very quiet and peaceful area. The staff is absolutely amazing. They were very responsive and helpful with explaining the pickup and transportation to the ryokan. I left an item behind, and the staff did everything possible to get it back to me while I was still in Japan.

It's very hard to meet or exceed expectations when a property 1) has such great reviews and, 2) is at this price point yet somehow Sanso Tensui managed to do just that. It's stunning. The onsen are beautiful. The level of service is unmatched. The food was incredible. This was a splurge for us and we do not regret it. We only stayed one night—I only wish we had stayed two to enjoy it more.
