The Mews Hotel

Excellent arrival, everything was great from the start. Checking in was quick and dealt with professionally, Our room was ready, nicely decorated and clean. We had not booked an evening meal, but that was not a problem, a few clicks and they had a table at a time that was acceptable. The menu was good a few choices that would accommodate most people. Service was very good as was the food. A continental breakfast was given a twist with the addition of a sandwich if you wanted at no extra cost. A very pleasant overnight stay.

Nice atmosphere in pub & excellent food

Great service and environment to stay as a lone female traveller. Food is great in the evenings in the pub and the rooms are always clean. I’ve stayed here a few times and will return again

Stayed overnight but met friends for few drinks in the bar on Sunday before having Sunday lunch. Young girl behind the bar was excellent and allowed us to taste a couple of the red wines before purchasing. Forgotten her name unfortunately but she was super as were the service staff for lunch. Sunday Lunch and breakfast the next morning were 10/10 so can’t fault anything and the staff allowed me to loiter for an hour whilst my wife was on a conference call whereby the made me coffees and gave me a paper - very thoughtful and considerate of the 2 lovely ladies so thank you. Can’t recommend the food or a stay overnight enough!

Nice Hotel with comfy rooms. Very well kept and decorated.. Good value for money as breakfast included . Vert busy and noisy at night as it is also a pub. The evening menu was excellent.

Stayed here Saturday night so we could attend an event nearby. We could not book a table for the evening as it was fully booked and the food/menu looked good, so not surprised really. Would definitely come back to try the food. Rooms are nicely presented. Main room was warm and cosy. Breakfast is limited but acceptable, but don’t expect a full English. There were various options mainly things on toast or bacon sandwiches. We were ok with that but some may expect more. Enjoyed our stay, and as people have mentioned the staff are very welcoming and on the ball.

Great for anyone visiting the area with a dog
