Golmangtae Pension

A really great pension! The owners are very nice, we had a very good welcome! They grow their own tea and make a lot of things themselves like a delicious beet makgeolli that we were lucky enough to taste! We were also invited to eat, the meal was delicious. And finally the owner gave us a ride to the train station! We are delighted to have been able to meet and share a moment with them and really had a great time! If you go to see the tea fields you must stay here ☺️

Very cute little huts! The grounds are pretty and the views are lovely. The hosts/hostesses were welcoming and provided welcome drinks. The facility was clean and had a small kitchen. Bed/mats were not terribly comfortable but functional. We had a nice stay here and it’s a short-ish bus ride to the Tea Farm.

The property is gorgeous and the host is more than accommodating. I didn’t have any food so he provided me with both dinner and breakfast. He also drove to me to tea fields and made sure I knew how to catch the bus back to Gwangju. Amazing hospitality!

No food options close by and I wasn’t prepared for that. The host made sure I was taken care of but I would have brought snacks and food with me had I known.

Mr Yeol is the perfect host! He made us feel at home from the first moment. First of all, he's welcomed us in the hall with homemade green tea, biscuits and rice wine (very tasty!) and then he’s brought us with his car to the tea farms. He even helped us to look for a phone we lost on the bus and we found it thanks to him! The dinner he prepared for us was delicious as well! And favorite part: he asked us which was our favorite Korean dish and prepared it for us for breakfast FOR FREE! We really recommend a stay here, you won’t regret it!

편안한 휴식과 아름다운 정원을 보았습니다.

저는 아주 좋았어요 ㅎㅎ 신축이 아니지만 건물이 관리가 잘 되어 있었습니다. 환경친화적이어서 정말 좋았고 방안에서 듣는 빗소리는 아늑하고 좋아어요. 다만 불빛이 좀 어두워서 밝은 거 좋아하시는 분들은 좀 불편하실 거 같아요 ㅎㅎ 전반적으로 만족합니다!@

펜션이 황토방으로 조성되어 있는데 방실내부 황토내벽이 오래돼 먼지가 많이 쌓이고 노후해보입니다. 더블침대가 생각보다 너무 좁아서 두명이 같이 자기 어려웠고 매트위에 방수비닐을 덮어뒀는지 누워있는내내 비닐소리가 나서 불편했구요, 처음 배정받은 룸은 습기곰팡이내가 너무 나서 다른 곳으로 옮겼는데 바닥이 끈적끈적하고 지네새끼 등 벌레까지 보여 아내가 당장 나가자고 할 정도였습니다. 룸에어컨은 좁은 내부에 온도조절이 잘맞지않아 수면이 힘들었습니다. 환기창이 너무 작습니다. 근처 솔밭해수욕장 근처 콘도나 모텔을 이용하는게 낫겠다싶습니다.

창문이 적어 환기를 시키기 어렵고, 침대도 적고 침구도 좋지 않았읍니다
