Golmangtae Pension

The owner was exceptionally nice and gave us the best treatment and attention in all our trip around South Korea. He cooked dinner for us and invited us to have dinner with him. Eventhough he did not speak English very well, he made a great effort, having a conversation with us (we were using our phones to communicate). Great location to rest if you go to visit the Green Tea Plantation in Boseong.

Beautiful place, beautiful surroundings covered with flowers. Incredibly nice Mr. and Mrs. owner. They gave us green tea when we arrived at the accommodation. They invited us to their home for breakfast in the morning. Then they drove us by their car to the tea plantation at the end.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make my trip go well. When they saw I was travelling alone, I was invited to join them for tasty meals of homemade specialities, and was given lifts to the tea plantation and train station. The location is very good, with easy access to the station, tea plantations, and beach by bus or car. Views from the on-site cafe are lovely. I definitely want to return later in spring to see all the trees and flowers in full-bloom!

The lighting in the room was a bit bright for my taste, but it's a minor thing. With such scenic surroundings, the view from the window in my room wasn't the best.

Conveniently located near the Boseong Green Tea Fields. Hosts were very lovely and served us welcome drinks while we sat in the cafe and relaxed. Rooms were spacious and well-heated in the cold winter. We were offered a traditional Korea breakfast the next morning, the host really showcased his years of cooking experience!

The pension is not in the main part of town, you will need a car to get to the pension and around this area.

it is nice and spacious, with everything we needed to stay for the night. the owner is nice and friendly and provide us lots of snacks, welcome drinks for us. he even drove us to the green tea plantation and drove us to the bus terminal after our check out!

as our phone are unable to make calls, it is very hard to contact the owner. we waited for almost an hour as he was out and not at the reception during our check in timing. it will be good if he has kaokao or line so that we can at least message him. the location of the pension was up the hill and we have to push our luggages up the hill with all the road covered with snow.

The location is great and it is an easy walk to the tea plantation. There is also a small café on the way. The complex or the property itself is also very nicely laid out. On top of that the owner is one of the friendliest ones we have met on our trip around South Korea. He invited us to eat with him and took us to the weekly market, where he accompanied us and gave us an insight into the local cuisine. On the day of our departure he also drove us back to the bus station. Although we only had a relatively short stay, we felt very welcome. So don't be shy and use a translation app. So does the owner. If we come back to this area, we will stay there again.

Our room was a bit old but still okay.

The hosts were absolutely wonderful with us. They made us feel welcome by offering a delicious green tea and green tea biscuits when we arrived. On our way back to Boseong, they drove us back to the bus terminal so we could continue our journey hassle free. They also made us a delicious dinner and breakfast. One of the host is a chef who traveled around the world, and is always smiling. He's also very kind is eager to share his love for cooking and traveling. The bungalows also have soft wood flooring, as well as floor heating. It takes a while to heat up, but it's really nice in the colder times.

The floor mattress we had in our bungalow hadn't been washed in a while I think, it smelled strongly. We should have told the host but we didn't want to disturb them, and we were sleeping on the bed anyway. I'm sure they would have changed it if we had requested.

The owner was not honest about money. We gave him 30000 KRW more by mistake and he did not say anything even after counting the amount. Moreover, he said he would make breakfast and take us to the station the next morning, but in the end he did not even show up for the checkout. We needed to ask a plumber for help in order to call a taxi that would take us to the station.
