Golmangtae Pension

The owner and his staff are super friendly. He invited us for a Korean breakfast, tea and drinks and shared his experiences. The setting is very scenic and they produce their own special wine. The pension is very close to the famous Boseong tea plants as well as Yulpo beach.

The facility is a bit outdated and needs some renovation.

The bed was really hard

The host was very friendly. They treated with wine upon arrival. They even made us a specific dish for breakfast after asking us what our favorite Korean dish is. The area is relaxing and beautiful.

Amazing stay !!! 10/10 !! This is a beautiful pension in the middle of nature with a wonderful view on rice and tea cultures. There are beautiful flowers all over the place, and it's also very close to the Dae Won tea culture, a must see in Boseong. The room consists of a small house with its own bathroom and kitchen: you have everything you need and it's very comfortable. The owner is the kindest person ever ! He prepared some delicious food for us and told us a lot about Korean culture and things to see here. He is making his own Kimchi (the best I ever had), wine and tea : you have to try it it's delicious. He really made our stay unique and we had the best time with my girlfriend there. We hope we can come again in autumn and spring to enjoy the beautiful surrondings and do a templestay as well. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. He made us a very tasty breakfast and gave us his amazing homemade wine and tea. Apartments were clean and very cozy with a beautiful view onto gardens. The scenery around the pension is stunning. It was honestly our most memorable stop across our trip in South Korea.

A beautiful place in a beautiful location. Quite rural, to be sure. Plus, it has its own wine cave and tea circle. The gardens are just lovely.

The entrance is long and the slope of the entrance driveway is steep.

the rooms are very outdated and slightly unkept. wish it was cleaner. the towels felt clean but old.

The location of the hotel is very nice in the middle of tea garden. The landloards are welcoming and they helped us getting our room ealier than the check in time and also drove us to the tea plantation which we really appreciated !

To us the price of the room is too high compared to the state of the room and the equipements. You will have to bring all the basics with you to cook because there is only material objects such as a pan and cuttlery + dishware provided. Also considering the general cost of the rooms in Korea the relation between price and quality is not fare to our point of view.

The owners are a lovely couple and very welcoming! When we arrived we were greeted with food and delicious homemade makgeolli. The owners kindly invited us to join them for a lovely bibimbap in the morning and even prepared a kimchi making experience for us later that day. Stunning views from the property, which also had tea gardens and a very interesting wine cave..! It is quieter during the week and a great place to do some Korean food and/or temple experiences with the owner. Overall it was a lovely and fun stay in Golmangtae Pension!
