Mayan Spirit

Mayan Spirit is beautifully positioned, less than a 10 minute boat ride from Flores Island and situated at the base of the jungle and on the lake.

Lovely place, good restaurant. They provide shuttle service to and from the city. Very relaxing and recommended

The view was spectacular and it was very luxurious to be able to swim straight off of the dock and see the water from our room! We loved the view of Flores - it was even better than being in Flores and looking at views of the lake. And we could hear Howler Monkeys every evening!

Beautiful peaceful location with a private beach for swimming in the lake, complementary boat transfers to and from Flores were great. We loved our stay here.

This was an amazing find.. a chilled lakeside cabin on the water just over the way from Flores Island - the owners were very sweet and friendly and would come and pick you up via a quick boat ride by a text (a small 50Q fee if super early or late which we needed for an early bus ride one morning). Hot water and food available. Amazing sunset

The setting of the property on the secluded waterfront is very peaceful and pretty

Our double bed had single bedding on it for the first night which is not so comfortable for 2 people. Nobody greeted and explained anything about the property to us, restaurant or anything and it was so quiet we didn’t realise the facilities on offer. You only find out about the boat access to and from the accommodation after you have paid (I chose non-refundable). You get a return trip each day included over to Flores, but after 9pm you have to pay, quite a lot (I think about GTQ 100 (£10)- and it’s not even late, esp if a Fri/Sat night. Also the price goes up as time goes on. It’s only about a 5 min ride) This needs to be made clear ahead of booking for clarity and fairness to the customer. Property needs some maintenance, nowhere comfortable to sit and relax. There’s a lovely shaded area by the water but the furniture is old and uncomfortable.

This place is a hidden gem. We didn't mind the ride across the water as the water taxi was always available. The staff here works very hard. They are so friendly and deliver and pick up all meals at your room or the patio. We loved staying here. We were here on New Years Eve and the the fireworks over on Flores were incredible. It is a short hike over to the town over so we grabbed dinner and small groceries over there a few times. It is also walkable to ruins and a park.

Peaceful place, nice views over the lake. Easy transport to and from Flores. Nice cabins with hot shower. Food is delicious in the restaurant.

Thin walls between the cabins / can be a bit noisy. Lacking a bit privacy since window blinds are a bit small. Common place should be organized better, looks a bit messy with a lot of tables and used dishes are not removed often.
