The bed was comfy, the room was clean

- the garden behind the reception was surrounded by trash - I left a beer open in the room and upon my arrival there was a dead coucoach in the beer - I find it unfair and too expensive that they charge Q150 for a one way boatride to flores island if you want to go to Tikal for the sunrise or at early morning hours eg. at 4:30 that most tourists do - If you want to stay longer than 9pm to enjoy your time in Flores island they charge Q50. At the end in total this accommodation was way too overpriced for me.

The hotel is accessible only with boat. The hotel is offering a boat transfer (5 minutes), which is far too expensive (150QTZ per room) while other hotels in this area charge 10QTZ per transfer. This means if you want to leave the hotel and return, you have to Pay a lot. We addressed this to the hotel, as it was not mentioned in booking.com and we were not informed before arrival. The hotel, unfortunately, did nothing to solve the problem. We asked the hotel if they can tell us if there is another way to get a transfer to Flores, but the hotel did not help us, they said, they are not obligated to tell us how we can be transferred. So in the end the only option was the transfer offered by the hotel which was far too expensive. This is why we left the hotel and booked another one in Flores, much cheaper and you can get in and out of the hotel without paying. Furthermore, in the rooms were cockroaches, in the bathroom and on the bed. Take care before booking this one, the hotel staff is not honest and not at all helpful, just want the money.

Really enjoyed staying here! Nice location by the lake in the nature and yet close to the island of Flores, they offer an included boat shuttle service to get you there (2 rides per day included from 7am-9pm), additional rides cost 25GTQ respectively 50GTQ during after hours. Modern rooms.

The room did not have any shelves/chairs or coat hooks to put on you luggage or hang your clothes/wet towels to dry. The restaurant only served a few things from the menu (off season).

No Air conditioning, room was very small, staff not attentive besides Kevin, the guy that did our boat transport from Flores to the hotel staff made no effort to make us feel welcome

Decent location, a bit off the path and you will need the boat to transfer. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The cabin is also great

I don’t know why, but there were empty bottles around the property and it looked a it off.
