Great hosts, close to town centre, peaceful, great choice for breakfast, clean and comfortable room.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Welcoming, good food, clean. The hosts are very friendly and Justine has expert knowledge of all things local. I really enjoyed my stay at the Olive.

The breakfast list was extensive and delicious! Julie (the owner) was very flexible to mix and match to suit our requirements (vegetarian). Her presentation and attention to detail was outstanding. All preserves were homemade. The accommodation is gorgeous. You feel like you are staying in a good friends home. Both Julie and Justin are so friendly (as is their gorgeous dog Arthur!) and helpful whilst remaining professional. Infact Justin very kindly drove us to the station in the next town as we would have missed our train - totally not in their job description!!

The weather!!!!! Although even the rain could not take away from the beauty that St Ives offers!

Comfortable bed, reasonably quiet, and large breakfast, along with pleasant hostess who very much cooks to order.

The single room was said to have a garden view but does not - just a wall. I had hoped to do some work from my room but because of this, I didn't spend the time there. Not mentioned in the description is that the inn is a long, steep climb from the train station, and a long, steep climb back from town, so I had to re-plan my stay in various ways; I didn't get to the beach the way I'd hoped. I also had to ask for fresh towels, even after 4 days, and when I did, the host said, "Aren't you leaving tomorrow anyway?"! You also have to bag and dump your own trash; there's no housekeeping in the midst of the stay at all, it seemed. The experience was a little less hospitable than I was expecting at this price point and for a BnB.
