It was an enormous breakfast.

Half of that size would have been enough for us.

The staff were pleasant and the pub had a nice atmosphere, the food was tasty and good value but this is not a fine dining restaurant. There were enough choices on the menu to suit us, however on the Saturday we stayed about 35% of the main course options were not available.

This venue is run down. The room was shabby, the carpet stained and the mattress was covered in nasty stains. If you want a good nights sleep in room 4 do not look at the mattress. We were told that breakfast was at 8am a couple of times when we checked in, however, when we went for breakfast we were told to go away until 8:30am.

Room clean, tidy and good size.

The pub seemed nice but didn't eat there. Location was nice enough with a view over fields (past a rusty fire escape).

The room I was in was in the main building - it was tired and felt dirty and had a bad smell. The bathroom in particular was grotty. There was black scum around the shower door and the shower head looked like it had never been cleaned. It also dripped all night. Family were staying in the motel style rooms which seemed to be in better condition, although they complained of ants.

Restauration très insuffisante. Il y avait vraisemblablement un problème ponctuel. Il a fallu attendre trois quarts d’heure pour passer la commande du dîner. Le choix des plats était très limité beaucoup étant indisponible. Par contre la qualité était bonne. Le petit déjeuner n’était disponible qu’à partir de 8h30 ce qui était très tard pour nous(nous devions impérativement partir une demi-heure après.

Hot water only ever lukewarm. Bathroom not serviced between the 2 nights of our stay.

Oh where shall I start?….the room was pokey with the smallest double bed I’ve seen. In need of a deep clean and a bedside table. Entrance stair carpet and door ugh! We booked a dinner BB package, Don’t! It caused massive confusion with the staff on the computer ( it said no!) as we were restricted to just a few items… and some of those were missing ingredients. We ordered a steak with mushroom at £29, it arrived without mushroom as apparently it had gone off over night? Door into breakfast bar area sticky and dirty. The whole place needs a decent manager and a good clean. Sainsbury’s is just down the road, they could have re-stocked the missing articles from there if any one cared. The heating was on throughout and the water temperature would melt your skin, why?
