Find somewhere else. Very expensive for what it was.

Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. The common areas are very cozy, and breakfast was very good. The beds were pretty comfortable, and the room had all the necessary amenities. It definitely was not updated, although we didn't mind.

This was the worst experience ever! We have pictures of how dirty the room was. A door fell on us and when I reported it, was treated terrible. We were asked to leave and told I would be getting a credit. I asked for verification of credit and Rebecca refused. She was rude! We have the whole thing recorded. I would never recommend this place to anyone

I didn't end up staying here; they cancelled my reservation 2 days before I was due to arrive. WARNING: This property is run by a company called Vacasa, whose customer service is generally clueless (it doesn't help that most of their agents seem not to have a full command of the English language). Anyway, my story is that Vacasa apparently had some sort of computer "glitch" and accidentally booked me for a hotel in Missouri instead of Aspen Mountain Lodge. WTF? Vacasa customer support tried to blame it on hotels.com. hotels.com reassured me that my booking in Aspen was valid, but in the end, Vacasa cancelled my reservation less than 2 days before I was due to arrive, and told me it was impossible to rebook. I did at least receive a refund, but what a bizarre experience.

Booked a room, they took the money and I received a confirmation only to get a call asking for $2000 more for 4 nights! Not agreeing they cancelled me. This shouldn't be legal. I would stay away and look elsewhere. Very disappointing, Please beware!

Self check-in and check-out is great, and walking distance to restaurants and bars.

This place was perfect for our visit. The facility is older yet well maintained. The people were friendly and the complimentary breakfast each morning was great. It nice to find a hotel in Aspen at this price-point that is within walking distance to everything. The bus stop to the Maroon Bells was just two blocks away!

Aspen Mtn Lodge is located within walking distance of the stores and restaurants. It is an older building but well maintained and clean, and the rooms adequately appointed. We were surprised that with four floors it did not have an elevator, nor was this revealed in the rental and checkin info. No one was at the front desk when we checked in about 6:30 PM, and so we had to carry our luggage up four floors! This was difficult, challenging and dangerous for seniors in the high altitude. There should have been some alternative. The next morning the staff was apologetic and said we should have called the number on the sign, but it was too late for that!
