VISU VILLA hotel

We loved our stay at Visu Villa. The owner was very welcoming and helpful since our arrival, he helped us organize all our excursions and he gave us great recommendations on where to go. We had an issue with the air conditioning in one of our rooms and he fixed it immediately. The breakfast was very good as well.

Everything was great

Ruwan and team really looked after me and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. His local knowledge helped me out with everything I needed to make the most out of my stay. It's also a great location to visit all the surrounding ancient sites, and after a hot day exploring, it was nice to cool off in the swimming pool. I would recommend staying at Visu Villa Hotel to others 😊

Rwan y su equipo siempre están atentos y dispuestos para lo que puedas necesitar, tanto ellos como los conductores que te presenta para hacer las diferentes excursiones. Todo te lo ponen fácil. Y cada mañana te prepara un desayuno riquísimo y en cantidad!! A 5 minutos caminado hay un calle con bares y restaurantes por si quieres cenar fuera.

Belle chambre spacieuse, piscine agréable, emplacement au calme, hôte sympa et qui propose plusieurs visites, verre de bienvenue, petit déjeuner basique mais complet (oeufs, toasts, fruit). Climatisation et wifi fonctionnels.

Comme presque partout au Sri Lanka, quand on se douche on mouille tout le sol de la salle de bain.

We stayed in the villas and absolutely loved it. The owner, Ruwan, his sister, and the young staff were fabulous. Ruwan organised everything for us – safari trips, tuk tuks, spa treatments – and would often surprise us with a cool drink by the pool or when we arrived home, which was such a thoughtful touch. He and his sister, with help from the staff, ran a cooking class for us – by far the best I’ve done. We cooked chicken curry, coconut sambal, roti, spicy green beans, and sautéed spicy mushrooms. An absolute must-do if you stay here. The villas are down an unkept laneway but don’t let that put you off – the rooms, grounds, and pool are spotless. The pool was heaven after a hot day out exploring. Breakfasts were fabulous, with fresh fruit, coffee, eggs, toast, Sri Lankan pancakes, and other local items. We also ate dinner at the villas on three nights and the food was delicious every time. The rooms aren’t serviced daily, but if you need anything, you just have to ask. It’s not a five-star Sheraton resort, but neither is the price – and everything you need is there. There’s a small store about 100 metres away for water, drinks, and snacks. We also enjoyed walking around the local village, where everyone waved and chatted to us. Ruwan was encouraging of his two young assistants and took the time to teach them and offer them direction when needed.

Nothing -this place was such great value for money.

The best and affordable place to stay in Habarana. I recommend warmly the Visu villa hotel. The host are very nice and friendly.
