VISU VILLA hotel

Great breakfast. Owner-manager was a charm to chat with. Good value for the area.

Ruwan was eager to help fulfill all our needs. When our teenage son was ill, they got him cream crackers and ginger beer and checked in on him. He arranged a cheap data filled local SIM for my phone (Dialog) to avoid extortionate EE roaming charges. On top of his desire to help, Ruwan is knowledgeable, proud and generous about Sri Lanka - keen to share. He is a great chef of Sri Lanka curries - best we had in the area. His team are all excellent drivers be it jeep, tuktuk or car (or even moped for errands).  Ruwan taught us how to play carrom and set the board up for us nearer our room so we could be need the boy while he recovered. He arranged all transport from the airport and onto our next destination. One of his men drove us to Dambulla and Sigiriya (we went later in the day around 4.30pm and highly recommend). Of the excursions we did arranged by Ruwan, the cookery demo was a highlight and food simple yet delicious.  The surrounding village tour didn't sit with our sensibilities - we went on a cart pulled by ill-handled buffalo. The same about the safari - the peaceful herd of elephants were pursued by a loud herd of diesel spewing jeeps. This speaks more to our naivety than anything the host did wrong.

Sehr schöne Anlage, sehr nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Schöner Pool zum Entspannen. Die Ausflüge wurden top organisiert und auch die Weiterreise wurde organisiert, zu sehr fairen Preisen!

We had a great stay at Visu Villa. Ruwan is a great host who is very kind and helpful. He showed us nice places around Habarana and told us more about the way of live. The room is big and the bed is very comfortable. Also the pool is nice and refreshing. We can recommend the elephant safari. It was beautiful and they go when it is not so busy. The workers who did the safari with us even made an aftervideo. We totally recommend Visu Villa!

A lovely little hotel, tucked away in a lane a little way from the main town. The manager and staff were friendly and helpful. We had a meal that was freshly cooked and very tasty. The pool was very clean and a bonus after a hard day's sightseeing.
