AWA Cefalù Umberto I

The flat itself was a visual delight, boasting a colorful and cheerful interior that instantly uplifted our spirits. One of the highlights of this accommodation was the private sauna. After a long day of exploring the historic sites and enjoying the nearby beach, having the option to unwind and relax in the sauna was a true luxury. It provided the perfect respite, allowing us to rejuvenate both body and mind. Location-wise, the flat couldn't have been better situated. It was within a short walk to the historic sites and the beach. Also, across the street is one of the best restaurants in the city, Triscele, and nearby is the Piazza Garibaldi (for appertivo time). Throughout our stay, the staff proved to be incredibly attentive and helpful.

we had the rooftop suite with sea view. the flat had a nice vibe. we felt super comfortable. and location was great

access was a bit difficult. if you have problems with stairs don’t recommend. the staircase is high and small also checking in was a bit difficult but staff (via whatsapp) was helping. we didnt see any staff in person. windows in sleeping area could have been a bit cleaner but ok ….

Super functional space - very well thought through and sparkling clean. Great key collection experience, very easy! The hosts were very responsive and super helpful. Great location as closely to all relevant sites.

There was one socket that wasn't working but honestly no big deal as it was only one... The host responded to us straight away and was getting ti fixed the next day - super responsive and accommodating.

There was no breakfast and the location was terribly noisy.

The room was very small and didn't overlook the sea....as advertised, it overlooked the busiest street in Cefalu, where there were many restaurants and bars, so folks were out having a raucous goodtime until 2;30 in the morning and then the sounds of clean up continued until dawn....i.e. crashing glass from trash removal etc. There was a "sea view" at a distance, but that is not "overlooking the sea." There was no place to hang towels to dry, no safe in the room, no soap dish in the shower, spartan furnishings with one plastic stackable chair and a hard bed and one lousy pillow each. Our room was up 55 steep narrow stone steps on the 4th floor (3rd by European count). There was a nicer room upstairs that was not booked, but they wouldn't switch us unless we paid a lot more. The AC didn't work when we first got there at 4:00 and they initially said they'd send someone at 10 or 11PM to fix it. They finally sent someone at 8:00PM. I would recommend against this place.

Perfect location .Booked it last minute and all went smoothly. The app for the keys sounded daunting at first but worked smoothly . Matter of adjusting to digital I guess. Property was very comfortable with attention to detail and very clean and modern . Contact with the hosts was via WhatsApp but they always answered promptly and checked in with us . It all suited us fine . Located 10 mins walk from Train station and just at the beginning of the old town . Super restaurant directly opposite "Trisele" . Loved the town of Cefalu but I'd imagine it's very busy in July and August . Great spot . Would book again . Highly recommend.

Everything was as expected, the location is perfect, close to everything, especially the beach, if you don't mind a little noise (from the bars downstairs) then it's the perfect spot for you. note that there are no elevator and there are many stairs steps to get to your room

the location, overall equipment and communication were excellent!!!

we were a family with 2 kids and had to let the bedroom to the kids since the sofa bed was in the living room/kitchen area and it was terribly uncomfortable :-/ I guess it is more appropriate for a couple than for a family if I’m honest

everything is simply amazing

if I had one small critique, it would be the pillows are too thin.

The room is spacious and clean. The sauna is great. With a large TV that allows us to watch Netflix too.

There is no lift in the building so need to walk for two floors with our luggages.
