Ana Frank Boutique Hotel

Lovely room in Ana and Frank’s stunning house in a good location. Frank and Ana provided maps and suggest for tours, restaurants etc. Very comfortable beds and hot running water at all times. There is a small terrace also

Lima is chilly and damp at night and particularly in the early morning.

Although the location is convenient the street is very noisy so we wouldn’t have wanted to spend any time on the terrace or even in the living room. The bedroom was the size we expected, not big but enough room with luggage. However the bathroom was tiny- I’m small but couldn’t even sit straight on the toilet. The room description listed a bath, so maybe we’d been moved to a different room type. Main problem the window was only half glazed so there was a lot of noise from street as well as strange noises from the plumbing. I don’t think we were expecting breakfast to be included so this isn’t a complaint, but we’d had some amazing breakfasts in Peru and this one wasn’t so good

It’s convenient if you want to be in Milaflores (I didn’t personally like the neighbourhood, but I get many people do).

This place isn’t as advertised. I booked a “suite,” but it lacked many of the listed features, for instance: -no “private kitchenette,” just the communal one in the house -no microwave, etc in room -rooms didn’t have a terrace -no walk-in shower -advertised as having a “view,” but that view is just the street -advertised as having a “private entrance” but this entrance was through the house and meant walking directly past the “office” (by this logic, almost all hotels would have “private entrances”) -no sofa -no clothes rack -not soundproofed and you could hear the both the street noise and noise in the house So overall, it’s completely not as advertised or a suite, and was really misleading. I wouldn’t have paid what I did for this if it’d been truthfully advertised. And the room itself was dated, with things like the ceiling cracking. When I raised this with Frank, he just showed me the upstairs and said there was the terrace and kitchen. And when I had Booking.com call him, he again said there was nothing missing.
