Very nice, clean and friendly bed and brew inn in excellent location of Georgetown.

If you want/need to be in walking distance to everything downtown Georgetown has to offer and are a fan of beer on tap, this is a great place.If you are looking for a bed & breakfast experience, this is not it. Breakfast is self serve kureg coffee with coffee mate and packaged muffins/granola bars/instant oatmeal.

Baxter’s is extremely convenient to Front Street and the historic district. Parking was super easy and I was able to leave my car right there and walk the whole weekend. I enjoyed reading on the porch and on the little sofa at the top of the stairs and the rooms and bathrooms are very neat and clean. There was a nice little supply of refreshments in the little refrigerator and a basket they had with lots of little things for breakfast and snacks. I met some really nice people during the beer tasting they did on Saturday afternoon And Joseph and Tina are wonderful, hospitable people. I really hope I get to go back.

Surprise, no breakfast at a Bed and Breakfast!?! 😱 Brew in the Parler instead. I’ll let Baxter tell you the story! Walking distance to everything and clean. If you live or visit Charleston this is about an hours drive, which makes for quick getaway.

I loved my stay , the host was so welcoming when I arrived . He was informative about the area and what was happening for the weekend .

The beer option is a brilliant idea. It is so quaint and cozy. It feels like you’re visiting a relative. I would certainly come back again. The area is so beautiful and there are a lot of shopping and eating options a block away. Just a lovely experience overall.

This place was so quaint. It was a historic home but yet modernly comfortable. I loved the homemade beer and root beer options. It was well stocked for coffee and a light breakfast. The beds were very comfortable. We will be back

We’ve been to Georgetown many times and decided to stay somewhere different. Was met by owner at front door with a friendly smile. Our reservation was confirmed that we were there for the night. He offered us a crafted beer. Actually not something we like, but I loved the root beer. Room is quaint and clean. There are 2 shared bathrooms. 2 other people staying also. The bathroom they were using became unusable so there “we” were using same bathroom. I may be old and set in my ways but I won’t share a bathroom ever again. I block from town.

Five free homemade beers on tap, that all slapped?? The host was incredible and super cool, once being already up and getting the door for me when I came back at 2AM without a key. I would love to stay here again.
