Nice room, good breakfast and friendly staff.

Very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.

Room 1 had no clothes space and we found after a shower some clothes were damp but the other rooms looked much bigger with more faciliity for hanging clothes. The floor sloped a bit but has to be expected with an Inn of this age. Food was very good with gluten free options, obviously a popular pub. In a better room stay would have been better but overall value for money

There’s a great atmosphere in the bar and the food was excellent including the breakfast. Couldn’t fault the general friendliness of the staff. However, the room: no 2: yes its only £100 but the bog door doesn’t close. The plastic handle on the inside is broken. Theres a switch on the wall. What it does nobody knows. The window sash chords are broken and languish there for all to see. The electrical sockets are certainly not up to regulation. There’s a terrible smell going up the stairs where and old sheepskin lies, half stuffed in a plastic bin. The outside areas are ramshackle with open rubbish bins and broken down cars. Its great for a bit of nosebag but I would not stay there again.

We stayed in a nice big room, very comfortable, clearly newly refurbished. There were some issues for one of us as one of us, for both dinner and breakfast, would have liked something in the vegetable/green/fruit line but peas was the one and only option in that whole food field. We did feel that was quite bizarre and very restricted, especially in today's world. There was also only full fat milk available, no other options whatsoever. Consequently, for one of us there was a major compromise for one of us for dinner and ultimately no breakfast at all for that person. We do feel the Inn would benefit with some re-thinking in this respect and, if this could be achieved, they would certainly attract more customers.

Only stayed for 1 night, due to the fact that the property wasn't suitable for me, i have mobility issues and find stairs extremely difficult. I did message Expedia before hand to request a ground floor room with a walk in shower, but when we arrived we were told that no ground floor rooms are available, but as nobody got back to me from Expedia, we made the journey from Leeds only to be disappointed (13 stairs to the bedroom). We had an evening meal and breakfast which was excellent. This review isn't been negative about Frazer or his Dad Chris who were excellent, and we wish then all the success in the future.

There was mould on the wall behind the bed photo was taken, i explained i was disabled but was given a room where i could not get into the bathroom nor could i fit my wheelchair in the room or a walking trolly the room next too me wiuld have been suitable it was empty during our stay Not happy with the space or mould in room

Warm welcome friendly pub with great home cooked food and excellent selection of beers and ciders… great beer garden too. Room was spacious and hosts couldn’t of been more helpful
