Kosenkaku Yoshinoya

This was a gem on a trip in Wakayama and Nara. If you are looking for an authentic onsen experience in Japan, this is an excellent place. The outside of the hotel is not particularly impressive, but once you get inside, the quality of the room with a very nice view of a lake/river, the delicious elaborate Japanese food served for breakfast and dinner, the impeccable hospitality, the high quality of the onsen water... Well, you will be delighted with your stay. It has become one of my favorite onsens. Simple but high quality. Well worth the price. And the staff are amazingly kind and helpful.

Beautiful river side onsen.

場所は最高で景色も良かったです。 お料理も大満足でした。

お風呂場の清掃が行き届いてなくて シャワーの蛇口に苔？があり利用できませんでした。

Staff was exceptionally helpful. Exceptionally good large Japanese meals. Nice in and outdoor onsen.

街中のホテルとかをイメージしないで純粋に山の中でここまでやっている。スタッフや女将さんに感謝しかないです。

Very nice Onsen, particularly the outdoor one just above the river. Japanese style, spacious room with extra seating space and balcony with river view. Elaborate and delicious japanese style dinner and breakfast. Exceptionally nice staff with some English introduced us to the meals, and made very polite suggestions of which dishes would go with what dressings etc. which was helpful. They were always accessible, nice and helpful.

Some noise from a construction site oposite the hotel, which probably will be gone by now.

Chambre spacieuse, très propre, vue géniale et personnel très agréable. Le onsen extérieur est top aussi

Ne pas avoir accès à ma douche (réparation)

The location near the lake in a quiet small town was magical. The room was typical and comfy, with everything we needed. Dinner and breakfast were really tasty with typical food from the region.

景色は良く ご飯は美味しく、食器と料理の合わせ方は素敵でした。

メインデッシュの鮎の調理がかなり事前にされ、パサパサしていて、本当に残念。 経営コストの方が優先され、ホスピタリティや、お客目線の施設管理、(特にお風呂場改善)が必要に思う。
