Kosenkaku Yoshinoya

Fantastic traditional ryokan in an incredible location with views, comfortable and spacious room and fabulous meals. The outdoor onsen was amazing!

A very warm welcome, delicious dinner, an outdoor onsen , view on the river , peaceful and quite and just a stroll away from the monkey valley just some steps off the paths of the kumano kodo trail- a naturalist’s delight .

Le onsen extérieur dans les bambous, le village où est situé l’hôtel. Vue de la chambre sur la nature.

Gîte très vétuste, très mal insonorisé. Nous sommes tombés à côté d’une chambre de 4 hommes qui ont fait du bruit jusqu’à tard dans la soirée :( c’est comme si nous vivions avec eux…. Dur de se reposer dans ces conditions !!

The dinner was ok and the staff were friendly.

The whole place felt sad. Uncared for, dirty and unloved. There were spiders coming out of the walls, dried blood stains, broken doors, walls and dirty carpets. We left one day early even though we still had to pay because it was too depressing to stay.

Interesting property that sits on a river very Japanese style.

Place is in the middle of nowhere. Nothing was open besides a mini mart and one small restaurant so we could actually eat something. Whole town seemed dead. Seemed overpriced for the value.

Hotel un peu vieillot mais très bien entretenu, onsen très agréable. Très bon dîner ainsi que petit déjeuner.
