Hotel Bijou - Union Square

Hotel experience was excellent in terms of the cleansiness of the room and comfort and the service received from staff. Paid $35 for parking next block there is public parking on same street Mason. If you tell them you're staying at the hotel you could possibly get a discout because parking fee could be up to $50 per day.

The noise levels are ridiculous. Active drug deals outside the hotel. No Ac. Rooms smell muggy and mouldy I would never in a million years wish this place on anyone. The only good thing is the staff is lovely other than that I checked out after one night.

URGENT COMPLAINT – Hotel Bijou in San Francisco STOLE my package or LOST it and refuses to resolve the issue! I stayed at Hotel Bijou in San Francisco and ordered a special package as a gift for my son. Unfortunately, the package was delayed and arrived one day after I checked out. Thankfully, a close friend of mine was still in the city and offered to pick it up. I left clear instructions with the front desk, even signed a release form, and also sent an email to the hotel authorizing the pickup. When the package arrived, I personally called the hotel and spoke to Andy, a front desk employee, who confirmed he had the package in his hands and that it was safely stored for my friend to collect. But since then, it's been a nightmare. My friend went to the hotel and was told there was no package. I sent two more people on different days – same response. I have called the hotel over 5 times, spoken to several staff members, and no one is willing to help. Suddenly, no one knows where the package is. They have hidden it, made up excuses, and now refuse to give any answers. This is not just poor service – it feels like theft or gross negligence. My son's gift is missing, and the hotel has done nothing to help. I will be posting this review on every platform I can until this issue is resolved and my package is returned. Clean, comfortable beds, close to Union Square and Moscone. Rooms are small. Hot water was an issue (that wasn't fixed), and our room didn't have internet access (and the staff said they couldn't do anything). Housekeeping was only offered every other day. The room had earplugs and a noise machine in the nightstand, a bad sign. We could hear people yelling in the street and loud cars going by at night. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly, they offered coffee and muffins in the morning, and the beds were super comfortable.

I am dismayed that I believed the rating posted here for this hotel. It is a POS. The elephant in the room — the hotel is noisy. It sounded like the loudest party ever all night long coming from outside. No washcloths, Tv didn’t work. Bad experience.

Staff was super friendly and hotel was super clean.

When I arrived the people around the entry way and in the streets were tweekers so we decided not to stay there at all. The room was non-refundable and staff would not provide a credit so I had to pay for two nights and also for another hotel that was actually safe. I couldn’t more strongly recommend that you avoid this hotel.
