"My stay was ok my experience this was not the best"

The area outside an pool and spa absolutely lovely the staff was so nice and helpful and where so good

The property was not clean. The beds are very uncomfortable. I did not sleep

"No sleep, no effort made by the hotel."

Was actually a lovely looking place. Spa and pool looked nice however we didn't get to use it

We were kept up ALL night by rowdy groups. The hotel porter was aware and knocked once at 1.30AM! He asked them to be quiet and left but that was it, no other efforts were made. We literally got a sleep at around 3.40am to be woke again at 5.20 by the same! We sent the hotel msgs throughout the night. We did complain and was told it would be "looked into" but we're nearly 3 weeks on and they've ignored EVERY effort to reply to us. Such a shame!

"A good stay at a Spa hotel near Chester"

The pool is great 18m long... The food is awesome... especially the Apple pie... The staff are very helpful especially the barstaff Steven and Joe... both go above and beyond... Its a good Spa Hotel average size for a function or wedding.. not massive... Im told its really convenient for Chester Race Track.. Im here for the British Am Golf Event at Royal Liverpool GC / Hoylake

"Let down"

I really liked the spa and our room.the breakfast was delicious great quality. The breakfast staff and the spa staff made our stay they were so lovely and friendly and interested in us.

The reception staff were a huge let down. I felt so rejected by their lack of common decency and welcome or fair well. To recieve big sighs from the male when we arrived in the conversation when I couldn't give him an accurate time for breakfast as my companion had not arrived in reception was not nice. we had driven 5 hrs to the hotel excited to be there and this response was nothing but rude. He didn't even say hello and welcome just YES as I went to the desk and the women at departure just said thats you quite cold really. No checking in with us if everything was OK or have a nice trip. These things are nice to recieve and make me feel appreciated for giving the hotel my custom. I.like reading reviews knowing that staff were friendly and helpful as it helps your stay and getting to know the area ect. But these staff didn't seem to want to give the warm hospitality . I felt in the way and deflated as I was excited to celebrate my 60th in the hotel and area. But we had a lovely time despite this and like I meantioned the other staff were great and made up for this.
