Alley X Tainan

The hotel is hidden away in an alley and is housed in an old building. Tastefully interior, shared garden. Mosquito screens. Breakfast changes daily and is a local dish. Nice way to acquire a new taste.

Maybe that our room was rather clear at night, the curtains are flimsy.

This was our favorite stay during our Taiwan vacation and an exceptional hotel/homestay. The photos don't do the place justice. It sits inside behind a temple, down a little alley in a beautiful Japanese garden with a view of the temple rooftop next door. The rooms are appointed with so much taste and care to every detail. They strike the perfect aesthetic balance between vintage Taiwanese architecture (with a Japanese flavor) and modern comfort. Our bathroom was a perfect example, clad in elegant stone and wood, with a great shower, Toto toilets and fluffy towels. The host is very obliging and even let us use their washing machine and rooftop drying area for our laundry. Breakfast was very good too. Plus central Tainan is very walkable and the location is excellent and yet very peaceful.

Can't think of anything - this place was an absolute gem.

Great B&B with an awesome atmosphere. Our room (quadruple) was one of the best I ever had in a B&B: large, very well decorated and full of little details. More than a room, it was like a small apartment with a little living room, bathroom, corridor and main room. There was even a washlet! Staff and owner are super friendly and helpful, gave us great advices for visiting Tainan.
