LIKED THE 2 DECK BLACKJACK AND HOT TUB. DON'T LIKE THE CONTINUOUS SCHUFFLING MACHINES ON THE OTHER BLACKJACK TABLES.

We went for the beach and the pool. My daughter loved it! She is special needs and spent over 6 hours in the pool. My husband and I had a great view of the beach and fire pits from the pool and were able to order food from the restaurant and eat poolside. Breakfast was also good.

At check-in there were no luggage carts to be found. At restaurants the service was generally slow and employees didn’t greet or communicate much. Water pressure in the shower was terrible. The shelf in the shower was also missing leaving nowhere to put soap, shampoo, razor, etc. Guests in other rooms enjoying cigarettes or marijuana could be smelled in our room at times. The overall cleanliness was good.

After many years driving by this resort, my husband and I desided to try it out. We were looking for a place not too far away to celebrate our Anniversary. The property is beautiful but there are underlying concerns. I had high expectations but I was disappointed. I believe there is a staffing issue at this resort. I had purchased an upgrade on my room for a view but I got the parking lot instead. When I asked about changing, the said nothing was available. We had to make reservations at the main restaurant through open table. The restaurant , Lakeside Grill, could not alter our reservation but when we arrived the restaurant was not full. We sat outside on the deck, the tables were bare. The food was average and not worth the price. When I asked the server about various food, he could not tell me. The room was clean and the atmosphere was lively. The other grill had live music at night but the food took awhile to get. The beach area by the lake was lovely but when you went into the water there was so many rocks and bricks it was hard to walk. The casino was good but all the tables were full if you did not get there early, you would not be able to play. It was a relaxing weekend but it just was not up to expectations.

We felt the beds were not very comfortable at all. The food though was excellent on all meals.

Food only about 6 out of 10. Ordered champaign and was told no flutes, but when conplained, 2 were found. Was ready to send bottle back.

My husband and I visited Rocky Gap for a weekend in August. We went to a comedy show Thursday night and enjoyed the small venue area for the comedian. The doors opened at 7 and once we sat down, we had access to a small bar in the room. No snacks or appetizers in the show room. The next day we hiked the lake loop trail. It’s 5 miles and easy to walk with mostly flat trail. Relaxing afternooon, lots of spots to sit around the lake and bring down drinks from the bar - signatures. The outside bar opens at around 2:00. The Casino was clean and did not have a heavy smoke smell. They had nooks for people who wanted to smoke. The casino staff were exceptionally nice at the craps table. It was my first time playing craps and they were so helpful and made me feel comfortable trying out the game. We didn’t get a chance to check out the golf area but plan to go back for another visit soon. The only negative is the lack of staff for the restaurants- which is just a problem everywhere right now. They were unable to seat us at the lakeside restaurant even with a lot of tables obviously empty. The lobby food selection was okay. The signatures sports bar and lakeside restaurant were the two best options for food. The room was clean and had a nice view of the pool and lake. The room did not smell like smoke. Nice place for a weekend trip! Friendly staff. Clean and safe.
