Hotel Deco

This place is nice, Its very old and art deco with a modern vibe. The room had plenty of space with several window which had curtains that blocked out the light. Temps switched and Heat and Cooling worked well. The service is well at the front desk and there is a nice restaurant I didnt try. There is a speak easy or something next door. Things were clean.

I am there for work to work and could not work because the WIFI didn't work. Service would just keep dropping. I had to walk a mile to Starbucks and then back to get online. It was not cool and I would not have stayed somewhere I could not get an internet connection. The TV has a 3rd party remote to Cox basic cable which had limited options to watch. I was not able to connect the TV to the internet to use streaming services.

We have had issues with our bill on 2 occasions. An overcharge which eventually got resolved. Then a charge for valet which we didn’t utilize. That charge is still on my credit card Can’t say I would stay there again. Frustrating.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Our room was 86 degrees for the 3 nights that we were there. A maintenance guy came and tried to fix it the first night. He was in our room and pounding around in the bathroom ceiling for 2 hours. The floor was covered in water and dirt afterwards. The maintenance guy left his dirty cup in our room when he was done. His "fix" never worked and the temp never went down. We were told we were not allowed to open our windows because they were caulked shut. Thankfully someone prior to us staying in the room broke that caulk open. Our windows had to be open the entire stay. The coffee pot in the room was broken, but we were not offered a replacement. The hallways smelled like marijuana. The parking situation is horrible. The downtown noise is very loud - especially when have to sleep with your windows open. I was told management would contact me. I have reached out to them many times, but after two months, I still heard nothing.

The property was very clean. Staff very helpful.
