Sonder The Hancock

Excellent location

More lighting needed in the kitchen Can’t light the kitchen isolated from the rest of the area

First time in a Sonder for us. So that's a non staffed everything over the internet and via app service. I was a bit wary about how it would work but all credit to them we had no problems whatsoever ever everything worked well. Sonder are honest about the building, it's an old one with no lift so we were prepared for the climb to the 3rd floor but as it's o!d it's high ceilings and a longer climb than more modern buildings but you only do it with the luggage once...I We had apartment 11 . Plenty of space all the amenities and the technology worked well but you do need a modern smartphone to " cast" streaming services if you want to watch TV. Theirs a Bluetooth speaker for radio as well. Probably not something anyone under 40 will be anxious about and i managed ok with even my near hopeless level of understanding Sonder have idiots guide to connections on the app to help-it worked well. A couple.of quirky features,very high windows I'm about average height but had to stand on a chair to lower the blind in the bedroom and my wife noted the lack of a full length mirror was an omission. But overall, it's a good location near enough to be an easy walk to all the sights in a nice area,quiet residential, safe, at what for the ridiculously expensive city of Boston was a very good rate for what we got. Also it's a minutes walk from the excellent TipTap room restaurant- well worth a look.

Nice spacious apartment, with nice coffee and facilities. The location was good and easy to get into the hub where bars, restaurants, and park is. There is Washing machine facilities outside of the room which is not on the facilities of the room. This would have been nice to know.

The bed! The mattress was fine, but that steel frame needs to be changed. Every time one of you turns around during the night, the other one wakes up due to the horrendous squeaking of the steel frame.

Overall good, definitely need a light in kitchen area and need to spend a couple of hundred bucks for a smart TV

We loved our stay at Sonder The Hancock! Location was lovely! We also appreciated the kitchen equipped with coffee machine/ boiler/dish washer and we found the beds really comfortable. Laundry room available too!
