Building and street were perfect ! Check in was super easy,

Our room (#1) was amazing. It was very clean, comfortable and had everything we wanted. Great location, most of the main attractions were 10-15 minute walk. Before we arrived I had all of the information that I needed to gain access to the building and room. We were in room #1 which is located on the main floor, we were able to get to our room by entering under the main stairs. My only issue were the pillows, the bed was very comfortable but the pillows were thin wafers. We had to use the decorative pillows for comfort. I highly recommend booking a room with them. Next time we are in Boston we will defiantly book this place again.

The Hancock doesn’t have a reception, no elevator so if you have luggage it’s very difficult. The door to my room wouldn’t close, the keypad lock didn’t go into the door jam, nor would the door knob below, thankfully there was a latch to secure the door when I was in the room. I advised Sonder via the app, which is the only communication to Sonder, I was advised via the app that someone would be there to fix the nails in the floor and the door lock problem at 9:30am. I waited till 10:30am, repeatedly contacting Sonder, asking was the door going to be fixed. I eventually left at 11:30am. When I returned later in the afternoon I realised someone had been in my room and fixed the problems. Sonder were supposed to tell me when the maintenance person would be in to fix the issues. All in all the location was great but the apartment I was allocated was poor, not very clean, when I opened a window for fresh air the window blinds were dirty, as was the sills and the screens.

Such a handy location and was good value in comparison to similar properties and hotels nearby. Place was very clean and felt very secure.

Bedding was a little on the light side given the weather was still so cold.

Good location in Beacon Hill. Apartment was clean and comfortable.

Bad lighting (main room had either an exceptionally bright ceiling light or on very dim lamp). There was a note to say there were ear plugs in the bedroom due to noise on the street (very early and loud rubbish collection) but there were none. The Room provided (superior apartment) was inferior to that pictured on Booking listing, and there was also no info on how to access the terrace area pictured on the listing. There was also poor communication. There is a reliance on using their app and there was also a phishing attempt made via their Booking personal messages. When I asked for information about the security of my verified documents (required to secure the booking via the app) I never received a reply despite various messages. They sent a 'welcome to Sonder, let us know if we can help' text message after we did the self check in to the apartment, but when I replied with a question about a machine I received no reply. It feels like the hosting is entirely reliant on remote technologies, if there is an issue you are on your own.

The location cannot be beat. The building is beautiful a d historic. The apartment is spacious and clean. I will say the bed was VERY comfortable. Within walking distance of everything you want and as someone who travelled with a toddler. Boston Commons park was a 8 min walk!

It could of been cozier. I found for the price you pay adding a cozy blanket or just extra blankets in general, some additional lamps would make it a more comfortable place to get back to at the end of the night. It's hard to get comfy and relax, it didn't feel like a play you want to spend too much time in. Which I understand but for the price a throw blanket and some extra lamps would go a long way.

Quiet, clean, comfortable, very well located, and fairly convenient, but lots of stairs and no street parking.
