Coombe Farm

Lovely little stay away for my birthday. Shame the weather on the Saturday was a bit rubbish but we enjoyed ourselves. Whilst there we saw rabbits, peacocks and peahens, rabbits, a horse and even a green woodpecker all onsite, so keep your eyes peeled

Lovely little place, very good value for money. We checked ourselves in and checked ourselves out as the place seemed deserted. It would have been nice to meet the proprietor to thank them for having us but there appeared to be no one there. Washing mysteriously appeared on the washing line and was taken in at some point during the day and our room was serviced but apart from that no activity. I Would however recommend it highly as a budget stay. It was a perfect location for us.

We stayed in Lily Lovedays for four days. First impressions were that the room was very cosy and spacious. There was more than enough drawer and hanging space. In the wardrobe there was an ironing board and iron. I found the hairdryer in a drawer. There was a very well stocked refreshment tray with kettle and mugs. On the bedside units we each had a touch lamp, a bottle of water and a glass. The bathroom was spacious and modern with a powerful shower. The fixtures and fittings throughout our accommodation were modern and appeared to be new. The king size bed was incredibly comfy. We slept very well. The room was so dark after lights out due to the location of the farm as well as the heavy curtains. Each day bottled water, tea, coffee, milk, cereal bar etc were replenished. Towels were folded and tidied. We never met our host but we didn't have cause to either. We were aware before our visit that breakfast wouldn't be supplied. We bought juice, a jar of jam, pain au chocolat and scones in Looe and had them for breakfast each day. In one of the drawers we found plates and a tray of cutlery which was useful for breakfast or takeaway meals. We loved our stay at Coombe Farm. We used it as a base to travel around the area. Polperro is delightful, Padstow has sandy beaches and a pretty harbour and Plymouth was a full day out with lots of history to learn about. Looe was our regular visit for our evening meal. Parking was free after 6pm in the carpark behind the amusement arcade.

Very peaceful relaxing clean quiet place with nice views ,room was very spacious (peacocks perch) a great start to our holiday .
