Had a lovely check in experience with Katerina Deluxe room was fabulous - very comfortable bed and nice large bathroom.

Stayed here before and had the best stay which is why I’ve chose this again, rated it highly before however this time the weather was bad, the wind was strong and the window mist have be sealed fully so the door kept rattling and sounding like someone was trying to get in all night. Bad sleep but probably just had the one bad room, feel like I wasted my money having a bad sleep but usually can’t fault the hotel.

Nice clean and modernised hotel, staff were highly professional and pleasant. Room was very comfortable, the only point i would say is that i couldnt switch the room lights on and off from the bed, just the lamps, you have to get up and go to each light and lamp to turn them off, the rooms arent small by the way. I would definitely stay again though.

Nice, clean hotel with great staff, the room was very spacious and clean. The facilities are very good (gym and pool) My only negative is that the bathrooms need updating.

Best trip this year The hotel was always hit or miss we found, no consistency but something has changed The staff are always really pleasant without going over the top and the food in the restaurant this time was faultless, great breakfast too It’s a shame some guests feel it necessary to waste so much food but you can’t take the scum out of the person This has no reflection on the hotel…..

We've been to a lot of hotels over the last few years. This one is well-presented, clean and spacious. It's good for a budget hotel but don't expect a famous "Marriott" standard. The beds were very uncomfortable, despite having toppers. There's no mini fridge (needed for baby's milk) or simple amenities. Liked the heated towel rack in the bathroom though! Bathroom was very spacious compared with most others we've stayed in - bigger than our main bathroom at home! Shower was on the slightly weaker side, but as expected. Hot though! Could hear people in the morning, so the room isn't soundproof, but our white noise machine helped to mask the noise. Only stayed one night so can't comment on housekeeping.

Very good perfect location for our break away

The room was excellent and very spacious. The beds were comfy. Swimming pool and leisure club was excellent - that is why we always stay here. BUT There were two empty wine bottles left outside our door when we arrived - late afternoon. The bins at the entrance to the hotel were overflowing when we arrived - not a good image. The washbasin was blocked but was sorted when we reported it.

Check in was smooth with the details we needed. Katrina on the front desk was very friendly and even interacted with my 5 year old. She gave her a kids pack with colouring which I thought was a lovely touch. We were on the 2nd floor in a double queen bed room. The room had lots of space and was very clean and smelt fresh. We used the swimming pool which was perfect for our little girl. It was 8am on a Sunday so not too busy. All facilities at the leisure were good and friendly staff. We ate room service for tea and the food was very tasty. A little on the expensive side but as expected at a hotel. Breakfast was good with enough choice. It was busy Sunday morning for breakfast so lots of fresh food was being turned around. The staff again were very helpful and friendly. The location is brilliant and the hotel was easy to get to. We had been to beamish for the day and travelled about 15/20 minutes to get to the hotel. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone especially families. Only a few points I noticed was no fridge in the room, there was plenty of mirrors in the room/bathroom but no magnifying mirror. There only seemed to be one lift working too which meant quite long delays. There was no sign saying the other lift was out of order but it definitely wasn’t working. These points are minor and not enough to not make me want to go back. Overalll fantastic stay and the staff were great!
