"Comfortable overnight."

Stayed here for a quick overnight before heading into London. Arrived reasonably late, staying in one of the recently refurbished rooms. Although I forgot to ask for a room facing the courtyard. So as a result we could hear traffic noise all night. However the room was otherwise perfect for our needs. The unrefurbished areas haven't changed since 2009! As a result of my Marriott Bonvoy status I was entitled to use the Delta Pantry for snacks. As this has been opened yet we were offered a snack in the bar & a soft drink. My wife & I both had sweet potato fries. The service was good. We had breakfast in the restaurant it was the same server as the evening before. He said he remembered me from when I used to stay at what was then the Cheshunt Marriott around 12 years ago! The hotel was recently rebranded a Delta by Marriott property. The breakfast was plentiful with many options.

"Hotel with a Football team doesn’t hit the spot!"

First time here after changing to Delta brand. It was all a bit eclectic for my taste, not the normal Marriott standard which I use around the world. All the front desk staff need a lesson in welcoming and courtesy. The hotel was hosting Eintract Frankfurt for their game against Spurs. That wasn’t our fault! We had to argue for more breakfast items coz the football team had eaten it all! Disappointing.

"Absolute Disaster"

On arriving at this hotel I was told that they had no food, so no restaurant, bar or room service. After speaking to the General Manager I did manage to get a burger and chips in my room. The hotel also did not have any non feather pillows and I had requested them on booking. The truth of it is, is that they have a professional football team staying here. One member of staff Ben was exceptionally helpful and went the extra mile. Helping with luggage, ensuring that I had drinks and a reduction in my bill. It looks like breakfast is also off the menu despite having paid for it in advance and with my medical conditions I have to eat regularly. I'm so disappointed as I have stayed at this hotel so many times prepandemic. I feel they have tried to redress a bad situation but they shouldn't be taking other bookings in these circumstances and they should be truthful.

"Embarrassing 4 star hotel! "

Booked a room with breakfast but when I went for breakfast the next morning I wasn’t on the list so had to produce my receipt to prove I had paid for breakfast. I was then asked to leave my food half way through eating as reception said that I shouldn’t be in the dining room as I hadn’t paid! I had to ask the waitress if I’d heard her correctly. You want me to leave my breakfast to go to reception to show them my receipt? Yes please she replied and I’ll make sure no one touches your food! As you can imagine everyone in the dining room is now looking at me! I walked to reception, totally perplexed as to why a 4 star hotel is asking a guest to leave their breakfast to show proof of purchase for a breakfast that’s already been checked. The male receptionist was very rude didn’t offer an apology and just told me it was an error on the computer and that I may return to finish my breakfast! I feel sorry for the young waitress who was ordered by the reception or management staff to tell me to leave my breakfast. Better protocols need to be put in place to avoid embarrassing guests and getting junior staff to carry out unnecessary checks on guests. The decor in some of the rooms is very outdated too, I think some of the rooms have been refurbed and some clearly haven’t. All in all this hotel needs to do much better especially if it’s touting itself as a 4 star hotel!
