"Beauty in the middle of the mountain"

It is a very nice place to be in the middle of the mountain, and it is very accessible to be able to go to volcanos Izqlco and Ilamatepec.

There are not many dinner options nearby. Complicated if you move without your own transport.

"Do not recommend this place to anyone"

Review is negative. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I arrived there around 9PM. First surprise was that they told me they accept only cash. And I do not travel with tons of cash. So we agreed that I can withdraw cash from ATM in the morning. And then in the morning I learned that nearest ATM is located in Izalco. Just 45 minutes drive. And those ATMs take only visa cards. I had to spend 2+ hours to find ATM that would accept MasterCard in the town of Sonzacate. It is first time in 15 years of so that a hotel I booked at hotels.com accepted cash only. Second surprise came at 2:30AM when a bus arrived with a very loud engine and a very loud crowd of fellow tourists. It took them about one hour to check in and settle. So my plans for next day were disrupted. But air quality was a positive experience.
