The bar and balcony of this hotel could become a permanent home, so reminiscent of past times and past lives. Delicious food, especially breakfast!! Terrific staff that helped me with parking and with stairs. The location was superb for the Perahera, and I will return.

Long stairs with my bad knees. Just something I avoid when I can.

I felt like I had stepped back in time to a colonial era! The room was large and beautifully decorated. The dining room was impeccable- calling all directors to use it as a period movie set! While the building won are hearts, the staff did even more!! The ladies serving our breakfast (the Sri Lankan Option top notch!) and the chef were all delightful. Thank you.

The bathroom was very clean but still had a musty smell.

An old aristocrat's mansion which has been converted into a beautiful boutique hotel full of character and history. Location was great being in the heart of Kandy. Food and staff were first class. This would absolutely be our hotel of choice should we visit Kandy again

Everything about this old hotel. Staff were friendly, it has kept its old charm. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We stayed only a night.

L’atmosfera di un tempo, con struttura e arredo probabilmente dell’epoca. Mantiene ancora il suo fascino coloniale. Camera comoda, anche il bagno. Letto a baldacchino con rete anti zanzare.

Le finestre non hanno zanzariere, quindi se si vuole aprire per arieggiare, possono entrare insetti.

Un albergo pieno di fascino che conserva ancora il sapore dell’epoca coloniale. La camera comoda e pulita. I servizi buoni ed il personale molto disponibile. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. La colazione buona, abbondante e piacevole.

Se proprio bisogna trovare un difetto: le finestre non hanno zanzariere, quindi volendo aprire, possono entrare insetti. Ma comunque che la zanzariera sul letto.

Ein Hotel mit Charme.... entzückende Angestellte, umsichtig, immer im Hintergrund und zur Stelle, wenn gebraucht.... auch die Küche super. Ein Zuhause im trubeligen Kandy.
