Ramada by Wyndham Diplomat Canberra

Three days of a PERFECT stay. From the minute I booked till we checked out we were impressed. Booking made easy, requested a resin chair for my mobility issues in shower, it was there promptly on arrival, room was spacious, quiet, clean and bed comfy. The amenities re personal touches in room were plentiful and lots of thought to cover needs. The breakfast package well worth it with good choices to choose from the omelet was exceptionable, very tasty and the granola bowl delicious. Staff were extremely friendly and VERY helpful would definitely stay here next time. One extra advantage as in great location was assured secure parking at no extra cost.

From when I first arrived and was greeted by hotel staff it was clear that this place was top notch. The room was clean and comfortable. The food and drink available onsite was enjoyable. Definitely worth another stay.

The room we were given had such an overwhelming smell of odour chemicals on entering the room. Also had the shower over the bath. We were given another room which was the Boardroom. Super big and fun with the Presidental desk and chair, The ensuite was tiny for such a grand room. We paid for breakfast which was a bit of luxury.

I chose this property because they have a pool but sadly it was closed. It states it's open from September but it was still closed in October. Staff advised it's because of the Canberra weather. I wish that was better disclosed. Our room had an old TV that we couldn't cast to. We were told they're sbeing upgraded. Staff sped up our room and our Tav got upgraded on our second night. The facilities dated but very clean. Breakfast included was a la carte, not buffet (I couldn't find this information online prior to booking).

Loved the atmosphere of the Ramada. Loved the food. The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Rooms clean. Bed super comfy.

Our room was great! Lovely foyer area to sit and relax just outside our door. Close to everything in Canberra.

Clean, comfy bed. Nice touches in the room. Wonderful having free secure under ground parking and restaurant in the motel. Good hot shower pressure but not a fan of the shower over bath, bit of a mobility issue and potential for falls. Food delicious from the restaurant, ate both breakfasts and dinners here on my 2 night stay. Didn't enjoy the choice of music coming from the bar area which unfortunately you can also hear from your bedroom. I was hoping to drown it out with watching a movie, sadly internet was not working at all on my first night. I was too tired to complain from an 8 hour drive. Second night I did complain as motel wifi was working but started dropping out every 2-3 minutes. Staff promptly assured me they would get on to Telstra about it, and kindly gave me the staff login to the wifi, which worked great for 10 minutes then it too started to drop out every 5 minutes. I rang again only to be put through to answering machine. I left a message but never heard back. After being at a funeral that day and rather exhausted, I was dismayed that the wifi was not better in the motel and our nations capital city. Luckily I could have a hot shower, delicious room service and fell asleep. For the amount of money I paid, I expected better wifi service, particularly when it is advertised as being 'available in all areas, free of charge' 'streaming services such as Netflix' non existent. . Overall, whilst the motel is doing good in some areas, other areas need more attention before I would consider staying again.
