The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach

Amenities and location are nice. Breakfast is very nice.

The cleaner ladies were nice but none that I experienced could speak English which made it really difficult to communicate concerns. As a kid friendly resort, appropriate swimwear should be enforced while on the premises. Another guest brought a pitbull dog into the pool with kids around. At breakfast there was some miscommunication on which waitress was working which tables and we got passed by for 15 minutes. We finally asked a server to help us. She was super sweet. She deserves a raise.

Location was great, except the chairs that lined the front row took up most of the beach with very few rented making you have to walk to the public beach to set up your chairs and umbrella. Also with all the day passes from the RV lot they consumed all the pool and pool chairs. The pool chairs had towels for hours with no one using them. Maybe someone should monitor unattended chairs giving everyone a chance.

We had such a great time!! The pools are so fun and we came with our almost 2yr old who had a BLAST. DJ Kelly at the pool had the jams playing all day!

The beach house room was nice however we had to move to a standard room for the last night and it was not nice at all. Vibe is more like a motel 6. As soon as we got in there food bugs, peeling off paint on walls and furniture, vent fall off the wall in the bathroom and door wasn’t sealed all they way- you could see gap / light coming through.
