Quality Inn Rutland - Killington

Clean, Comfortable, Nice People.

Exterior door swipe security missing at back & hard to use at main entrance. Lots of trash around main entry door & junk on top of vending machines. Entry and exit drive caused standard suspension car to bottom out & scrape. Untrained staff could not print our bill. There were no coffee cups in the room. Generally disappointing appearance upon entry to motel. Breakfast was two small bars, an orange, and bottled water.

It was close to impossible to find a hotel in Vermont during peak foliage season so we ended up here. First, they didn’t have our booking. Contacted hotels.com who sorted it out but it was stressful as the alternative was probably to sleep in our car. Front desk wasn’t very friendly (warmed up later). The positive: the bed was comfortable and the shower was ok, and we could open the windows. The hotel I think had been closed all summer due to the pandemic and had just reopened so it might explain some things. Like the pool being closed (or rather: LOOKED closed as it was not clean). The hotel is in dire need of renovation. Some renovations were done but was far from charming. No curtains. The lamp in our bedroom still had the plastic on so it was clearly new. Overhead lamps for reading didn’t work but there were bedside lamps so we didn’t report it. We heard several in reception complain that many TV channels didn’t work but we never turned on the TV. The shower curtain was new but the bath tub clearly wasn’t new. We stayed two nights. When we returned the 2nd night the room wasn’t cleaned. We didn’t care and didn’t report it until the next day. Breakfast was a box with a bottle of water, an orange and two protein bars. We were happy to get a hotel room at a price that wasn’t outrageous so all in all, we were fine but we won’t stay there again. The area is not great next to the night it there are some restaurants and fast food places. Panera was near.

Overprice for the quality of hotel. The room it was smelled and the bathroom dirty. And the building in general the cleaning it was very bad.

Bed was clean and comfortable but the room wreaked of urine… the carpet was nasty … bathroom floor looked like there was cr*p on the floor… website said breakfast included and we got a box breakfast due to covid with a bottle of water, 2 sugary granola bars and an apple… terribly dirty in the lobby and the grounds were strewn with beer cans

Horrible horrible place to stay. Very poorly maintained stinky smelly crammed room. But then you get what you pay for. It’s a cheap place. Stayed here for Columbus Day long weekend on our way to Stowe. Stayed here only bcoz all other places were totally booked. Will never return to any Quality Inn!

HORRIFIC! Absolutely horrific! I spent $175/night at this less than 0 star shanty. Pulling into the property, it was filled with shipping containers, 18 wheeler trucks and contracting equipment, mattresses & chairs everywhere. Reception told us the hotel was used as a homeless shelter during the summer & that they renovated the hotel. LIES! This place NEEDS renovations BADLY. Every door to the hotel has been broken into and unsecured and the lobby and hallways are missing chunks of wall throughout. The walls & ceilings in the room itself were covered with early Jackson Pollock compound just shy of popcorn pattern circa 1960. There’s a partition door to the next room, which I haven’t seen since I was 11 vacationing at Disneyworld. The hallways AND room stink of cigarette smoke thanks to the contractors on site. There’s no complimentary breakfast, nor even a voucher offered for Panera next door for the inconvenience. There’s no WiFi, no pool, no coffee cups, no customer service. I could hear the person above me and next to me during the night and they LITERALLY sounded like they were in the room with me. Do yourself a favor and do not come here. You will be greeted by disappointment and bad attitudes.

The hotel is shut down a month before my stay and I wasn't informed

It was good enough to stay to save some money but definitely didn’t meet my expectations. Smelled like a casino the entire time, cops were sitting down the hall about 3 rooms down for at least 5 hours and I asked one if everything is alright and he said there definitively isn’t a dead body in there if thats what you were thinking. No floor reducer in between the transfer from carpet to tile.

It was great.
