Fingal - A Luxury Floating Hotel

Such a unique and lovely hotel. The service from the staff is exemplary. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast and a delightful evening meal as well. The beds are comfortable and the linens are superb. Highly recommend

What an amazing 5* experience! The Fingal was everything I wanted it to be. A surprise overnight stay for my other half for his 70th birthday and it did not dissapoint. We stayed in the Luxury Duplex suite and it was lovey as the pictures on the website. Evening meal was delicious and the best breakfast I've had in a long long time. A short walk to the Royal Britannia yatch which also exceded my expectation which is beside The port of Leith distillery - if you like whisky a great place to visit. Obviously there's a cost involved staying on the Fingal in the Duplex room but for this special occasion worth every penny. Loved it !

The location is perfect, set in the picturesque Leith waterfront area. From the minute you are welcomed, the service is exceptional. The room was furnished to a five star standard - the wood especially is beautiful. A place to put your toilet bag in the bathroom would have been handy. Breakfast was delicious - great options - and the view from the breakfast toom/restaurant, especially on a sunny day, was much enjoyed, as was the ambience: very tranquil. Something to watch for: when we approached Fingal by car there were some roadworks, causing a mini diversion. We only found to our cost the following week when an official letter arrived that we had encroached into a Bus Lane which incurred a £50 fine - an expensive mistake!

It was a wonderful experience. A nice way to end our vacation.

A truly unique small luxury hotel, close to the Edinburgh tram system and the Royal Yacht. The staff are very friendly, approachable and go out of the way to make you feel relaxed. The luxury cabins are quite spacious, with comfortable beds, large fluffy towels and excellent toiletries in the en suite. The food in lighthouse restaurant, both breakfast and dinner, was perfection. We shall be back!

A beautiful ship, amazing food, everything is really clean and comfortable - a great experience. Some really exceptional team members and we are looking forward to returning at some point!

Wonderful staff. Very clean. Room was larger than expected. Restaurant was excellent. Includes tickets to tour the retired royal yacht, Brittania which is within walking distance and very interesting.

All aspects of our stay were Excellent! Clean room, turned down service, excellent food (onboard Resturant) Professional, Friendly Staff, total attention to detail. Convenient to tram, bus, and a Taxi can/will be arranged by staff. Absolute perfection!

Great breakfast

Went to celebrate my wife’s special birthday. The staff were so polite and couldn’t do enough for us. Room excellent standard. Breakfast was phenomenal .
