Residence Inn Richmond Northwest

Premises were clean, staff was amazing especially Matthew! Room was clean and comfortable. Matthew was very attentive and accommodating during my stay. We were able to barbecue and utilize the outdoor pool at our leisure. Breakfast in the mornings was decent although there are only pork options. I would definitely stay here again.

I was surprised that this was a Marriott property. The hotel deels old and in dire need of an a refurbish. Additionally there were food crumbs on the floor and a couple of other small concerns that i reported to the front desk. I only stayed 1 night and I arrived late, so I can not give an honest review on the services. I reported the issues to the front desk as i was checking out. The staff seemed very nice, and im confident they would have responded to my room concerns quickly had i given them the chance. The hotel feels old, but it was conformable. I only stayed for a few hours as this was just a traveling stopover. In all, i would stay there again.

I understand people live here on a semi-permanent basis and it's hard to keep the rooms in good condition. But there were gouges in the wall, rips in the carpet, deep dents in the refrigerator and the toilet seemed like it was going to overflow each time we flushed.

The staff was exceptional. Jennifer checked us in. Signed me up for Bonvoy, saved me some money and earned points for my stay. Matthew, the manager on duty for our stay was great. He helped with our luggage and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Seme, the breakfast attendant was so helpful and made us feel welcome. Chris, Shirl also worked the front desk and were all helpful. Our room had 2 bedrooms (queen beds), 2 bathrooms, a sofa bed in the LR and a full kitchen. Great space, at a reasonable price.

The facilities are a little old. Many of the outlets were so worn, our multiple plugs and charges would not stay plugged in. The pool was out of order during a weekend in late July! We had a fire alarm go off at appx. 1AM, our first night there. We evacuated and had to wait about 30 minutes, until the fire dept left. I'm hoping to get some bonus Bonvoy points, due to the issues we experienced, but none have been applied, yet.

The front desk staff was friendly. There was AC and hot water (which others commented on not having). The quality of this hotel has nothing to do with the staff. They’re lovely. The hotel itself is disgusting. At one point our hallway wreaked of vomit. The smell was coming into our room. I had to open our windows for fresh air on a 98 degree day. I could smell and see black mold in the shower. Ripped, stained linens and couch cushions. There were gatherings of people (appeared homeless; maybe Marriott houses them?) by the pool heavily drinking and smoking. Corporate needs to completely renovate this property. Rip everything out. Throw everything away. In the meantime, there’s another Residence Inn down the road that has much better reviews.

The shower dripped constantly and there was mildew in the tub. The TVs are very small and mounted at a strange angle. It’s very outdated. There was an odd smell and caused headaches. The sink wouldn’t drain and smelled horrible. There was a very large and loud dog that woke me up several times.

Initial staff when entering the hotel were nice. The room was not clean. The tub drain was laying in the tub and a huge clog of filth was distended from the tub drain. I had to get the filth out in purser to put the drain back. We did not use this tub. My grandson went down to breakfast and immediately showed signs of an allergic reaction. Someone had their dog in the dining area while breakfast wa seeing aerved

The staff there was friendly people and the breakfast was great the room there was nice and clean I loved it 💯😁.

Matthew (at the front desk) was excellent. He greeted us every morning, and welcomed us back every evening. Also, the staff at breakfast was very friendly and helpful. They all made our stay very pleasant.
