Radisson Hotel Cedar Rapids

Always great experience and fond memories at this location. Have been visiting it for the last 5 years for business trips and now more than ever, being renovated and owned by Radisson, it feels even better. The entire venue is spacious, allows for fitness, business room for calls and working on business matters, as well as the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast buffet is now included in the price and I am happy to see people like Leo, who has been working there for many years and has been serving us during breakfast. It just feels like a family to me, I visit twice a year usually for business meetings. Keeps getting better and better! Thank you!

We had a wonderful experience! The kids loved the pool and the hotel is beautiful. We especially loved the breakfast! The entire staff was so kind. We were so pleasantly surprised by the fresh platters of eggs, bacon and potatoes as well as fresh coffee and other options! The man behind the counter, Leo, has been there since the 80’s and he is such a gift to this hotel! He made my little girls waffles they could have made themselves, made me a fresh cup of coffee and carried all of it to our table when we could have! It was truly the kind smile, great conversation and customer service we all miss so much! What a beautiful stay! Highly recommend!

Someone else booked this stay for me, to my regret. Signage promises a future renovation and perhaps it will be so exhaustive as to overcome what now is a state of extensive deterioration with dated, worn, rusted and sad fixtures, furnishings and appointments. Walls are paper thin and although the property appeared to be mostly vacant, we had a raucous party next door and heard every sound. Odors lurk in the public spaces. The bathtub was permanently stained. Minimal amenities and no hair dryer. The beds appeared to havre been used as trampolines. The point of sale system was not working which not only frustrated front desk transactions, but closed down the depressing lobby bar which might otherwise have provided some faint measure of relief. You get the picture.

Hotel was convenient to everything I needed access to. They are remodeling, and you could hear the construction, but since I was gone during the day, it really wasn't an issue.

The staff was great. There seemed one room on our floor that were dealing drugs and it made us feel unsafe.

This is the second time I have stayed at this property when in CR to visit family. My previous visit was in November 2024 during a nasty ice storm. This trip started with a wonderful check-in experience with Virginia. She is extremely friendly, kind and accommodating of some special needs associated with attending a family funeral. Virginia provided excellent suggestions to solve some of our challenges. Management, I hope you realize how valuable Virginia is to the business as well as the guests. The rooms are large and clean and a great value for the price! This is quality property that is in the process of adding the lipstick and rouge needed to restore it as a high class conference hotel. The beds are extremely comfortable and the towels are plush. Indoor swimming pool looks nice enough, but I did not use it. Breakfast is kind of what you expect, with bulk scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns, waffles or french toast. I would be happy if they would add real juice to accompany the coffee and milk for next time. I was also happy to see that the lounge restaurant/bar is open again. Thank you for a good stay!

We showed up to check in the hotel at 4:50 but our rooms were not cleaned yet because they had a NHL team that had a late check out at 4:00 and didn’t get good communication between housekeeping and front desk. So they didn’t have any hosuekeeping to clean rooms. We couldn’t shower or freshen up before meeting friend for dinner. A phone call to let us know that the rooms weren’t ready would have been nice. We are unable to get refund/discount because we booked through bookings. I have NEVER had this happen in ANY hotel we have stayed at. It would have been nice to get a discount for the inconvenience of not being able to check in.
