Super 8 by Wyndham Portage

No elevator. Breakfast is limited but ok. No daily room care. Was just ok and nothing to write home about. Not bad if all you want is a shower and place to sleep. Walmart and restaurants very close.

Location and price

Some of the electric didn’t work in the room. Not enough tables in the breakfast area. Exterior door entry panel by the handicap parking didn’t work.

It was a decent room to sleep

Room could've been a little cleaner as far as dust on surfaces and what not. Not sure if we missed additional items but didn't seem to offer much for the breakfast besides waffles, cereal, yogurt,bagels.

The hotel was rundown ,no elevator,no pool, found pills in room from prior guest,if you needed towels you had to go to front desk,no room service.My stay was overall terrible and I will never stay here again!Food options were horrible,the tv had like 3 channels,poor management.I have never stayed in a hotel this bad ever.Worst experience!

Highly recommend this place is great

Smoke smell that was penetrated through the carpet, and could not help but to smell it all night long. Hotel was fully booked so no point in requesting a switch.

I’m not sure the room was cleaned. The bed was not made, the room smelled, and there was hair in the shower. It looked like someone shaved a yeti in the shower. Will not return.

I have stayed at this Super 8 many times over a few decades, but had not stayed in the last several years. This motel is also larger than most Super 8 properties, more rooms on more floors. However the main entrance looks more like a side door and the lobby area is fairly small. It is conveniently located just off of I-39, but situated such that there is no noise from the highway. It is at the end of a 'strip' of gas stations, fast food restaurants, and small stores. Unlike some similar motels, it has a capacious parking lot. This property, on my recent visit, appeared to be well maintained and clean, although I spotted a few small flakes of what looked like bits of brittle old newsprint on the room carpeting; I have no idea what that was all about. I did not enounter any issues with noise.
