Super 8 by Wyndham Portland ME

The staff was fairly friendly, but the building and property are far from nice. The whole building reeks of smoke and the building was far from clean--tidy perhaps, but definitely not clean. Everything felt like it was falling apart and the air was so thick you could hardly breathe. Floors were sticky, crud on the walls, dust behind furniture. We won't be staying at this location again.

Dirty hotel with non-responsive staff. Dirty bedding, asked to re-dress beds it never happened. People smoking weed outside, bathroom had dirt in the corner, towels looked like cleaning rags. Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in.

The room was filthy. The hot water in the bathroom sink ran continuously, we had to shut the valve off. We had 2 rooms on opposite ends of the hall. When we asked if they could be together...they said they are in the same hall!. The 2nd room had carpet nails coming through the carpet and the bathroom. My granddaughter stepped on it and punctured her little toe.She is 2. It smelled like smoke. the side door was not locked. AC was so loud we had to shut it off.

Dirty.

Upon checking in we discovered c** stains on the the bedspread and crusted bloody mucus or snot on the blanket. We notified management by text (they auto-replied, “Sorry we don't have anyone available at this moment. We will get back to you as soon as possible.”) and Jose at the front desk, who said someone would replace our bedding shortly. Four hours later, when we returned from dinner, the bedding hadn’t been replaced, so we again notified the front desk, who said someone would deliver bedding shortly. We stripped the soiled bedding and waited, but again, no one ever came. We slept on the white sheets. The next day we were out early, but when we returned at 10pm the soiled blankets were still in a pile on the floor, and the beds were unmade. We packed up our things, notified the front desk and left early - opting to drive two hours home rather than spend another night in this cesspool. Additionally: the room smelled of urine, there were dead insects in the bathroom, the TV didn’t turn on, we were woken up multiple times by loud guests (or residents) in the hallways and the complementary breakfast consisted of one orange, one donut and expired milk.

The stay was ok. Nothing to add

Only thing was parking lot was dark and had a couple of large pot holes

Breakfast was very basic. The coffe tasted and smell like mold. The had a big container of butter and cream cheese for everyone to share. Worst experience ever. The comon areas were dirty and the sheets and towels were dirty too.

Leftover food in refrigerator. Microscopic bath towels. Unengaged desk staff.

it was awful. The property was absolutely awful. The rooms were dirty. They smelled -there were people smoking in the hotel. It was extremely subpar. The carpets were dirty. The bathroom was dirty. There was an old towel hanging on the back of the door from the previous guest Lots of people hanging out in the parking lot at night Really disgusting unsafe awful We called it The Smelly 8
