Super 8 by Wyndham Thurmont

Saw three roaches. Leave your bags in the car for precaution. Only stayed one night to have somewhere to rest my head. Would not book again. Location is cool, rooms are decent, but the bugs gotta go. There was two in the bathroom and one of the curtain.

The room its self was okay. We were called and advised there may not be hot water when we checked in, but they had someone working on it. We assumed this would be corrected by the next morning, but it was not. Worse than that, there was never anyone at the front desk other than when we checked in on Thursday evening. We tried calling and walking up off and on several times to try and find out about the water, and to try and find another hotel, but with no one at the desk we didn't know what to do. Also, we were told when we checked in there would be light breakfast with coffee in the am, but that was a lie. The only thing in the breakfast area was 1 granola bar on Friday morning, and 2 bananas on Friday morning. I truly feel we are owed a refund, but I'm sure that is not going to happen. I have traveled all over the world and this hotel wins for the worst I have ever stayed at. Upon checking in no one was at the counter and when the number left was dialed no one answered. Upon receiving a call back 5 minutes later, I was informed that the hot water tank was broken so not hot water. It was late so I said fine I am here now I’ll deal with the cold shower. The room was dingy and the bed was saggy and in comfortable. I had the pleasure of having to spend a second night there and the hot water was never fixed nor did I ever observe a staff member occupying the front. The breakfast was non existent the first day had a clerical bar and the second had a yogurt. Stay away this hotel should be remodeled and the management fired what a dump!

It was okay, not the worst but surely not close to being good. As I walked through the door it smelled like cat litter that needed to be changed. The hot water heater had been down for three days. (I did receive a call before hand that there was no hot water). The bed was very firm mattress. I will not stay there again.

Thank you very much as they accommodated our need to be checked in early for a wedding and they were very receptive to that idea. It's a shame the water heater wasn't working and there was no hot water but we feel feel they are trying their best. They were very kind on the phone.

I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a place to get some sleep. The bed was a king size bed but was not comfortable and bowed towards the middle. The room above me was noisy the first night, sounded like they were walking back and forth all night and dragging stuff across the floor. I had to put on a noisemaker to drown it out to sleep. The room was adequate but dated and the attention to detail was not there for upkeep and cleaning. It did what it had to, a place to rest my head at night but was not stellar. As others have mentioned, the free breakfast is non existent and everytime I went to see someone at the desk there was nobody there and a sign out to call if assistance was needed. I wouldn't stay again, it was cheap and convenient, but not on my list to return to. If I had to stay there I would, but I wouldn't choose it on my own again.

Furniture and facilities peeling, faded, falling apart. Sheets soiled with excrement stains in one bed. On other bed, blanket was so worn it had a large holenin its middle. Sour stale smoke smell permeating lobby, halls & room. Coffee and breakfast promised but not provided possibly because only one other group with a car was present.

They offered a breakfast of bananas, granola bars, yogurt, apple juice and horrible coffee, the first room had a musty smell and the TV you couldn't watch it because ithe screen was damaged, the girl at the desk gave us another room on the second floor walking down the hall I thought the floor was gonna cave in the he rugs have not been cleaned for yrs from the looks of it, second room same musty dirt smell, the bathtub had was slimy on the bottom and all around the floor of the tub was dirty really dirty, the sheets smelled like the were washed in plain water they had a musty smell as well, the blanket look like it just hadn't been washed in a while. Next morning I tried to make coffee in the one cup maker it had dried scum when I tried to wash it by hand it turned to slime. The toilet constantly ran and it was so loud I had to shut the bathroom door then by that morning it decided it wanted to try and over flow, then it would slowly go down, it continued that then just wouldn't go down when j checked out I told a guy that I figured worked there about the toilet, he stated" well the only toilet I know was doing that was 209 but I just fixed it the other day" I told him that was the room I just checked out of. The girl was nice but that place actually needs to either close or needs to be over hauled, the first floor ceiling had a huge water stain with black mold and the ceiling tile looked like it was ready to fall. I do not understand how this place can remain open.
