Super 8 by Wyndham Tappahannock VA

Old, dilapidated furniture. Unpleasant smell. Small, thin bath towels. Not particularly clean. Comfortable bed. Quiet.

First the door is broken, wouldn't open without several tries and pushing. The chairs both are broken and stained, the curtain had mold on it. The bathroom fan broken the hair dryer broken. Room set on 60 degrees! No breakfast. I didn't expect much but got even less than that.

None of the outlets worked. The room looked like it had never been cleaned. No towels. Hallways smelled like pot

Had to ask repeatedly for toilet tissue and towels. Breakfast was only stale fruit loops and coffee. Back entrance was not locked at all and staff was aware. Staff was okay but not very friendly or helpful. Website states colonial beach was 24.96 miles away but in reality it was an hour drive each way. Guests were repeatly at the back entrance smoking weed. Biggest disappointment was on the last night I noticed big red welty bites, six to be exact, that are itchy and oozing. Flipped the mattress and tore the sheets off and inspected without seeing and evidence of bed bugs but had to spend all the time and inconvenience of doing proper treatments upon returning home to be safe. Will not stay again.

My room didn't have a smoke detector, wiring exposed where it should have been. Was hard to get a non-smoking room. Stairs to second floor smelled like urine, the carpets were filthy a steam cleaning would probably do wonders. Overnight safety locks on outside of building non-functional. AC was very loud and clunky, had to set to 65F to get a comfortable room. Lot's of local conveniences wouldn't take much to make this property better. Price was best in area and can see why. Definitely will not go back.

It was ok.

The motel was older, smelled in the hallways, booked into 1 room, toilet was ready to over flow! Moved to another room, better but the shower was very poor and the bed was horribly lumpy and soft. Room was clean and had a nice working refrigerator.

Dirty room and bathrooms. Due to the noise of party’s we got next to no sleep. Comforter and sheets had staines on them. Strong smell of drugs and alcohol. Bathroom floor and sink were dirty.Will never stay there again.
