Super 8 by Wyndham Weston WV

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The rooms were clean, thought the beds seem extra small, and we had no real issues with the hotel except for breakfast. On this trip, we ate at about 8:00 and thankfully we weren’t any later because by 8:30 pretty much everything was gone and they did not refill anything. A couple other guests asked if they had more to refill items and they did not. We remember things starting to run out at breakfast during our last stay as well, but we had eaten earlier that morning so we didn’t realize it wasn’t going to be refilled at all.

When I got there , there was no elevator so I had to drag all my stuff up the stairs. I opened the room and it had been used and not cleaned. I drug my stuff back down the steps got a different room, drug my stuff back up the stairs. The second room had the sheets changed, nothing else done, trash on the counters and floor. Used soap in the bath tub, NO towels. I went back down again and got towels. I was too tired for anything else. I will say I would never recommend any one stay here for any reason, but the clerk that checked me in was the nicest, kindest person and was very apologetic to me. They need to fire the cleaning staff and hire him as the manager. This hotel had an 8 rating which was obviously fake. They should have refunded my money. I have photos but they are of the trash and dirty bathroom

Nice king size room. Bigger then most rooms. Like the setup with a chair to watch TV. Nice big TV with great TV channels. Easy check in too. No deposit required. I paid on the Expedia app. No issues with check in. Very polite helpful staff. Clean cost room. Free on site parking.

Room smelled very bad.. checked out other rooms for swap and same thing.

Very clean and safe location, near many amenities - Gino’s and great Chinese buffet, not to mention asylum and beautiful local library very close.

There were several unauthorized credit card transactions. We have reached out with no resolution yet and its been almost a week since checkout

There is no elevator to the second floor at this facility so you have to use the stairs which I don’t think they have cleaned it in weeks. The carpet was very dirty. Going in at the facility you had a push away three or four cats.

Rooms were dirty and outdated. Staff spent more time outside smoking and hanging out than inside. No amenities. Breakfast should have been packed up and not offered..

Side door did not latch closed most times we used. Carpet in halls were dirty with ants, crumbs, trash bits. After entering room there was an odor like of a dead animal. Figured out the toilet seal/wax ring was worn out and sewer gas was leaking in the room. Was told there were no more rooms available like we had booked. The smell was so bad, tucked towel under bathroom door and kept the exhaust fan running. Small roach on pillow case and another on the wall next to bed. There was no offer for a discount not that it would have improved our experience.
