Super 8 by Wyndham Aberdeen East

Check in was frustrating as my sister had issues and the clerk didn't handle it very well. They were trying to double charge her card, and mine went through just fine, and he wouldn't acknowledge or explain to her what was going on. Just kept saying they're not associated with Wyndam, when the name is literally all over everything. WHY are we charged automatically for the safe when we're not even notified about it and DIDN'T EVEN USE IT!?!?! Room was okay, shower head loose from wall. No cups, no ice bucket, no complimentary anything. Breakfast was less than satisfying. Only had powder creamer for coffee?? Not many options for the price of the room. Sad to hike up the price just because of the fair in town. I booked 3 weeks in advance. Visiting family from out of town and sister stays there frequently but her nor I will not stay ther again.

Grundsätzlicher Eindruck des Zimmer.

Als wir das Zimmer betraten, stach uns ein sehr unangenehmer Geruch entgegen. Wir hatten zunächst angenommen, dass es aus dem Bad kommt. Nachdem wir bei der Rezeption vorgesprochen hatten, hat man sich nur entschuldigt und uns aufgrund der Auslastung kein anderes Zimmer anbieten können. Stattdessen wurde uns ein Raum-Erfrischer-Spray in die Hand gedrückt. Wir stellten schnell fest, dass es nicht aus dem Bad kam. Die Klimaanlage war notdürftig verbaut, sodass wir durch die Anlage und auch dran vorbei nach draußen schauen konnten. In der Dusche befanden sich fremde Haare, was für uns ein NoGO ist. Das Frühstück war minimalistisch. Die Mülleimer war sehr dreckig von außen, sodass man sich kaum getraut hat, diese anzufassen. Wir wollten Super8 mal ausprobieren, empfanden wir als Fehlgriff. Our stay was nice. Nothing over the top but it was comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Bed and pillow a little uncomfortable but not a bad hotel to stay at especially for the price! We didn't make it to breakfast so not sure what that was like there.

Friday night was very good. Sat. night was very noisy. People in room above came in about 2am and it sounded like the roof was going to come down on top of us and the talking was very loud this continued till 4:30 am. There also was a dog in the room next door that woke us by barking. Breakfast options were minimal. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Property was decent. The staff that checked us in was not very nice. I was sick and our friends were gone so decided to get Hotel. He said NO early check-in because no rooms were cleaned. This was around 12:30. I explained the situation and he said come back at 3. We found much needed bathrooms at local businesses. Next day front desk was checking people in around 1 pm. Rest if the staff were rock stars! He could have done this too. Carpets needed cleaning in room.

Carpets were dirty in room. There was a little mold in bathtub area but other than that pretty comfortable! Breakfast was pretty well displayed!

The hotel is old. Rooms were worn and need to be updated. Breakfast was limited. However, the staff that I interacted with were nice and friendly and helpful.
