Iruka Onsen Hotel Seiryuusou

Nice means, rooms and onsen.

I was expecting easy access to the well-known Yunomine Onsen via a 10-minute small train as advertised online but discovered it involved a 30 minute drive.

We thought the staff were so accommodating. Nothing was a problem. We asked to cancel our Japanese breakfast and they applied the cost as a credit toward our dinner meal, which was excellent. Provided an extra pillow and always had fresh towels for the onsen. They also helped with directions to various places we visited. Beautiful view of the river from where you sit in the onsen. Arigatogozaimasu!

Really nice accommodation with friendly staff, with a beautiful river in front. The location is remote, but close to local attractions that we were visiting. The family tatami room was spacious, and the meals were traditional and delicious. The little gift store had some snacks for hungry kids. The outdoor onsen was lovely.

The staff were all incredible. Very thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for.

Well I dont know where to start...I loved the staff and enjoyed navigating our language barrier (since I dont speak Japanese and nobody at the hotel could speak much English at all). I had never experienced an Onsen before and I didn't expect to find the ordeal particularly comfortable because im not used to being naked around strangers but it wasn't awkward at all and was in fact a relaxing, therapeutic and overall wonderful experience! We paid for the inclusion of breakfast and dinner, all the food was delicious and the waiting staff were delightful and professional. I loved everything about my stay at the hotel, and the surrounding environment was magnificent. I wish I could have stayed longer, two night wasn't nearly enough!

There was nothing I didn't like - even if there was any confusion or error on my part, the staff were always very generous and easily able to resolve things courteously and professionally. Im so grateful for the time I had at the Iruka Onsen Hotel.
