The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were genuinely excellent. Very diverse food selection, tasty, and there was always something good to eat. Fresh juices were a very nice touch. The hotel territory is extremely green and beautiful, which was honestly unexpected for Egypt. The location is amazing - very close to the sea, beautiful blue water almost like the Maldives, and a coral reef nearby. Also, the mountain view was surprisingly beautiful. I did not even realize Egypt had mountains like this. The furniture, sunbeds, and overall atmosphere looked stylish and relaxing.

The takeaway breakfast for our early trip was honestly disappointing. We specifically asked for something simple and practical - bread with some meat, lettuce, maybe an apple. Instead, we received random things and basically just bread with cheese. A lot of unnecessary food that nobody wanted to eat. It felt like pure food waste. Another strange thing - there was no toilet plunger in the room. Unfortunately, if the toilet got clogged, there was no way to solve it ourselves and we had to wait for housekeeping. In one case it literally took until the next day. That is not something guests should deal with. The pool also needs better cleaning. There were yellow stains near some water outlets, and our daughter noticed quite a lot of hair on the bottom of the pool. It looked like the pool maybe was not fully cleaned before the season started. The air conditioner was also quite noisy during the night. My wife eventually preferred sleeping without it because of the sound. One more thing that felt slightly uncomfortable: the staff was sometimes overly attentive in a way that did not feel natural. People would repeatedly come to ask if everything was okay even when we were just quietly relaxing and clearly not unhappy. Then they would write down our room number every time. Good intentions probably, but it felt a bit excessive and more “for reporting purposes” than genuine hospitality. The hotel transfer pricing was also very strange. We were offered an airport transfer for 70 EUR for a completely standard car - basically the same quality as a regular Uber. If you call Uber yourself, it costs around 10-15 EUR. Even local drivers ask maybe 15-20 EUR. Charging 70 EUR without any additional premium service feels extremely overpriced. The spa and beauty services on the territory also felt very non-transparent. Our daughter got many small braids done, and there were basically no clear prices shown anywhere.

We had a very nice family stay overall. The hotel renovation looks great - especially the new furniture, pool areas, and beach setup. The beach is beautiful and relaxing, and the atmosphere around the resort is very enjoyable. The food was also surprisingly good with a large variety of options for different tastes. Staff members were friendly, welcoming, and always tried to help. Overall, the hotel gives a good vacation feeling and we enjoyed our time there.

The aquapark could use more slides and activities for children. Our 8.5-year-old daughter often felt bored because there are not many kids’ activities outside of the aquapark. If you come outside of peak season, there are also not many children around, so it can feel a bit too quiet for families with kids. It would also be much more convenient if guests could take drinks themselves during lunch and dinner instead of waiting for waiters every time. Pool cleanliness could be improved. While swimming with goggles, it was sometimes possible to see hair or small plastic trash in the water. Some hotel prices felt surprisingly high for Egypt. For example, hotel transfer prices were much more expensive than regular Uber rides for essentially a normal car/service. Haircut and barber prices also felt overpriced compared even to the Netherlands. One small but important thing: rooms should have a toilet plunger available. It can save guests from uncomfortable situations while waiting for housekeeping.
