Days Inn by Wyndham Eagan Minnesota Near Mall of America

It was filthy. Switched rooms twice. Room 1 had blood on the comforter. Room 2 was still dirty with mud on the floor and bed, hair in the sink and shower, towels covering smoke detector, and light switches had black finger prints. Finally went into a 3rd room which we just gave up with. Crumbs on the tv stand, boogers on the wall, and the toilet didn’t flush! We told the employee in the hallway that the toilet doesn’t flush and he said “it’s okay. that is the plumbing here”. Oh, and the breakfast….absolutely terrible. First off, it looked like elementary children destroyed everything. Food, syrup and garbage everywhere. The eggs were legit flavorless, watery, sponges. Orange juice was watery. And the staff had only refilled the silverware with their hands holding the prong end of the forks while stocking. Staff ignored the trash everywhere. Not clean, not sanitary, absolute chaos, and absolutely terrible. We tried to leave after night one, but we were “outside our canceling window”. Absolutely disgusting. I’ve stayed at cheaper motels that were way better. There’s no excuse for how terrible this hotel is.

The breakfast was ok. It was nothing fancy. It had enough options to start my day feeling full. I was also glad I was able to get an accessible room. My daughter and I have some bad back problems so it was nice to have a walk in shower.

We chose an accessible room not just because of bad back problems, but also because the only other room available at the same price was a pet friendly room. I am allergic to dogs so that type of room would not have gone well for me. However, when we walked into our room it smelled kind of musty like maybe a dog had been in there with a previous customer. If not, it may need to have the carpet shampooed or something. We didn't notice the smell as much after we were in the room for a while.

Front desk personnel especially the lady named Shivang greeted us with professionalism and kindness and a smile. Very nice and very kind to my 1 year old child and also made sure that the breakfast was complete. Overall, very satisfied with the service during our stay at this hotel. Looking forward to being able to return and stay at this hotel.
