Sleep Inn Phoenix North I-17

Took an hour just to check in. They did not have my booking in their system so I had to wait in the car while they sat on hold only to be told to enter my stay manually. Took much longer than necessary. They were under renovations and the place was a complete mess. Workers everywhere. Very uncomfortable and no privacy. That should have been mentioned in the booking. I probably wouldn’t have booked had I known. Gym was closed. Jacuzzi water was yellow and barely warm. Tv sound went out during our stay. Just overall pretty disappointing.

Nothing.

*STAY AWAY* The hallways were soaked in pet urine which multiple people complained about. The rooms were dirty. The floors and counters hadn't been cleaned in our room upon check in. The sheets had dirt and dust all over them. Every time we showered, the fire alarm would go off. The breakfast food tasted poorly. They are doing construction and start FIRST thing in the morning. After all that, my window got smashed out of my car. The front desk claimed they had 24 hour security and they didn't see anything. After finding the video footage on their cameras, they didn't offer to comp the room to offset the $300 bill I got to replace the shattered window. All I got was a sorry and shrug.

Property was completely under rehab and all the windows had thick plastic over every window.

Back door was held open with a rock. The local addicts were walking in and out with no one telling them to get out. The upstairs hallway which was dirty had a haze of marijuana smoke in the air. The stench was pretty thick. The parking lot was full of construction equipment and cargo trailers so the parking was full and cramped. While waiting to park I noticed multiple cars had people in them smoking marijuana and doing drugs. I called booking.com to cancel my two nights stay due to the unsavory situation and filthy conditions but was hung up on by the first representative. The second call I was able to speak to the person who was very helpful. She said she called the front dest at sleep in 5 or 6 times but could not get through. I walked into the hotel and told the desk clerk I had booking.com representative on the line and wanted to cancel my two nights stay due stay due the nature of my complaints. He said he couldn’t do anything but change my room for the marijuana smoke and said the rock had been removed from the back door. I insisted I wanted to cancel my stay and he said he would have to have the Manger call me in the morning. I never got a call and they are trying to make Me pay for two nights I didn’t stay at this place. The door being left open is a huge safety concern and the hallway full of pot smoke was another issue and concern.
